On NBC’s Crusoe, you would expect the lead character to have an uphill battle. Unfortunately, his TV show is fighting for its own survival as well — a battle that it’s losing. It looks like the high-adventure Crusoe TV show won’t be around for much longer.
Though the network initially gave the series some good support, NBC execs scheduled it on one of the least-watched nights of television. As expected, the ratings haven’t been very good. As a result, the show will soon be gone for good.
Should Crusoe be given another chance — on another night or perhaps on a more appropriate cable channel? If you’d like to see Robinson Crusoe and Friday stick around, make sure your voice is heard. Here are some things you can do:
Tell your friends and family to watch the show, either on TV or online. Sign the petition below. Write to the network. Politely tell them how you feel about the show and that you’ve signed the petition. Then, pass the word along to family and friends. Should poor Crusoe be stranded in TV limbo forever?
To: Moonlighting Films, Muse Entertainment, Power, and Universal Media Studios
We, the undersigned, enjoy watching the NBC TV show Crusoe and would like to see it continue. We believe that it is a worthwhile and quality series that deserves to be on the air. We ask that you continue to produce new episodes.
It is obvious that the show is not attracting enough viewers. We ask that you try another timeslot or consider moving it to another channel, perhaps one more suited to historical dramas and documentaries. At the very least, we ask that you make sure that there is a proper conclusion to the show’s many ongoing storylines, in a movie necessary.
We represent a small percentage of the NBC viewers who tune in each week. There are even more TV watchers who don’t even know that the show is on. Give it a better chance!
Thank you for your consideration.
