TV show description:
From creator Chris Fedak, the Deception TV show centers on illusionist Cameron Black (Cutmore-Scott). With big shows in Vegas and New York, this magician is rocketing to the top, when scandal derails his show and his drive.
Unbeknownst to the world, Cameron has a twin brother, Jonathan (Cutmore-Scott), who is integral to both his magic and his life. Then one night, Jonathan is framed for murder. Soon, their secret is revealed, and Jonathan is convicted. Cameron is certain another illusionist is behind the crime.
With his career on hold and his mind overwhelmed by guilt and the desire to exonerate his brother, Cameron won’t even work with his team to develop a new act. One day though, while watching the news, he realizes that the FBI has been deceived by an illusionist, and whoever it was stole one of his signature moves. Now, Cameron is using his tradecraft to help the Feds apprehend some of the most elusive criminals in the world and hopes to prove his brother is an innocent man.

I love this show. My 14 and 12 year old were both sad it was going away. Every time I find something great to watch it gets canceled. The show reminds me of a little bit of Bones. It’s just another way to solve murder. I really like the creativity in the writing of this show. I wish it would return.

So very angry that this great show was cancelled and the season finale became a series finale that left all the fans dissatisfied. ABC should stand for Already Been Cancelled since they never give their shows a chance to catch on. Even worse they continually renew mindless crap like The Bachelor which appeal to people with single digit IQs. Disney,you suck !!!

I can not believe this show has been cancelled! I loved it!! Maybe if they would have just moved it to another day and time, and tried it there, it would have survived. Great actors and storylines. Not at all happy with this cancellation!!!
This is a great show intriguing story lines and twists and mystery, deserves to be renewed and put in a better time slot. The actors all seem to balance each other out and the funny twist here is how the FBI does not always have each other’s back I guess that is all just a Deception.
Should not have been cancelled. So far I find ABC makes the poorest decisions on cancellations. – They keep all the inane comedy shows. I think they have something against drama!
Good show, final twist was not a surprise but still a creative show and fun to reveal the deception yet magical to watch.

Why cancelled?? Very interesting storyline , clean and entertaining.
Our 9 year old granddaughter was devistsated tonight when I told her that Deception had been canceled. We love to watch the show together. She couldn’t believe that there weren’t enough people watching the show to keep it on the air.
Deception is one of the few shows with an intelligent plot, great acting, and that’s as interesting to my 8yo as it is me. I’m extremely disappointed to hear it won’t have a second season. I hope the network reconsiders!!!
I love this show! I’m tired of getting attached to the whole concept of these shows and having them end prematurely!! If you know they’re gonna end then give them an ending. Please bring it back or have another network pick it up.
