(Silver Spring, Md.) – Denver’s most passionate and persevering veterinarian is back – flip flops, long hair, tattoos and all – to tackle high-stress situations when Animal Planet’s DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET returns for 12 all-new episodes beginning Saturday, April 16, at 9 PM ET/PT. The cases are more intense than ever when Dr. Jeff Young and his team go to great lengths to save the lives of both beloved pets and rescued wild animals. This season, they treat more mysterious illnesses, perform surgeries on creatures including little foxes and big cats and rehabilitate rescued animals before they find forever homes. There is no animal this team won’t try to save, even if it means leaving the modern-day conveniences of the clinic and traveling high into the Rocky Mountains to get to them. The challenges of running one of the busiest clinics in the country are heightened when Dr. Jeff must deal with health issues of his own.
Dr. Jeff’s sharp surgical skills and philosophy of always putting animals first make him one of the most respected veterinarians in the country, and this powerful series captures some of the riveting real-life cases that come through his doors. Cameras reveal the often tense and chaotic atmosphere at Dr. Jeff’s vet clinic Planned Pethood Plus but fortunately, Dr. Jeff’s presence provides calm to his anxious patients. With 25-plus years of veterinary experience and thousands of surgeries under his belt, Dr. Jeff guides a dedicated team of more than 30 veterinary staffers as they respond to the frenetic energy with precision, compassion and skill.
Captivated by Dr. Jeff’s intense dedication to his patients, 1.2M P2+ total viewers tuned in to the season one finale in August – a series high. The finale was also rated a series best among Women 25-54 (239,000).”

Why does this happen to the good looking guys like Jeff Young and John Stossel? I love the show! Also, agree 100% about spaying and neutering animals; the only intact males living in my home were my husband (still) and my son, who is now 28 and has his own place.
Absolutely the best show on TV. I have so much respect for you, Dr. Jeff and your staff. Looking forward to another season. Praying for you thru this fight. Stay strong. Godspeed.
This is a wonderful show with caring people. They love animals and not the money. Wishing Dr. Jeff best wishes and prayers to fight and beat “The Beast” of cancer again to continue doing the work he loves.

Will Dr Jeff be coming back on TV. After this April 2p16 season. I do do rescue and Sanctuary work Dr Jeff is the first bet I have seen who f9 like we are both on the same ideas about spaying and neutering and just loving animals. I also am the square peg that doesn’t fit in the round hole. Other rescues have problems with us cause no dog goes unless they are spayed or neutered even of we have to hold them a little longer. Sadly the $4000.00 surgery comment is so true. Anybody who helps us must also… Read more »
I thoroughly enjoy the show! I have watched every episode and have found them both informative and inspirational. His passion is reflected in his clinic as well as all of his volunteer clinics out of town, on the Rosebud reservation, out of state, and even out of the country. It is nice to see a physician whose practice is not greedily revolved around the “Almighty dollar”! I have cancer too; breast cancer, stage two. I am fighting it now! I have already done a lumpectomy and “chemo” and just started radiation. I am now praying for you as well…I would… Read more »
