The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
This series is really good. Put it on a different night and advertise it. I don’t think people know about it. It’ s kind of like the dark side of Downton Abby. Great scenery and story!
In addition–there were only 10 episodes-some people did not even know it existed! You are teasing us now – it must continue – and the ratings??? Age range demographics – try 49-65 — we LOVE it!! I see ALOT of votes here on this site for Dracula and on Facebook and Twitter—you should really listen to the Social Media on this one 🙂
Renew!!!
Please please please renew!
I loveeeeee the show! The finale was excellent…..and finally starting to turn people. Jonathan plays the part very well. The turning of the two kids was a well liked surprise. Please do not cancel. The stations never give the new shows enough time.
Please renew!
Please DO NOT cancel this show… it is the best show on TV right now. It’s not fair to cancel it when it just got started. Johnathan Rhys Meyers is BRILLIANT and this show deserves a shot!!
I meant was hated to see Lady Jane die though, she is a great character. But I hope they give it another chance.
No way they should cancel the series! It started off a little slow but really came on story-wise in the last month. Hated to see Lady Jane though, but I hope they keep it on or give it a better time slot, they had to go up against Blue bloods. KEEP IT ON!!
do not cancel it!!!
Do NOT cancel Dracula!
I really LOVE this show. Wasn’t expecting much when I first watched the first episodes, but I was greatly impressed with the adaptation and the characters (Jessica de Gouw is perfect portraying Mina, and Jonathan Meyers… well :p there’s something so magnetic, fascinating and charismatic about him *o* , they couldn’t have chosen a better actor to play Dracula itself! These series grew on me super fast, PLEASE don’t cancel it. I’d rather see Grimm canceled, It’s become really boring and I don’t see why that show is still running when so many other promising series are canceled after the… Read more »
Please don’t cancel the DRACULA series!!! I just went on line to see when season two is going to be playing only to find out that NBC is considering canceling one of the few movies that I am enjoying. I almost hate getting interested in a series in fear that they’re going to cancel it just as soon as I get hooked on it which the major networks keep doing over and over again. Everyone knew Dracula was about vampires when they first started to watch it, but it’s a lot more than that it’s a drama, but most of… Read more »
Renew Dracula.
It appeals to a wider audience than just the 18-49 age group.
It appeals to an audience that wants to see great acting and well-written dialogue.
There are enough shows on TV that are mediocre; Dracula is superb.
I agree, I’ m 71 and have been a fan of the Dracula stories for decades. NBC should realize that there are many seniors who watch TV and want mature programs to enjoy. I love this adaptation of Dracula, the acting, sets, costumes and music are wat above most network TV.
I see ALOT of votes here on this site for Dracula and on Facebook and Twitter—you should really listen to the Social Media on this one 🙂
I love this show. Rarely do I find a show that I like so much that I can’t wait for the next episode. But NBC’S Dracula is outstanding! Please don’t cancel this shire. I don’t want any other show. ONLY DRACULA!
