The Drew TV show pilot at CBS has been cancelled. Written by Joan Rater and Tony Phelan, the project was billed as a diverse, adult take inspired by the classic Nancy Drew teen detective books series. CBS decided to pass on the show.

The Drew cast includes: Sarah Shahi, Anthony Edwards, and Felix Solis. Deadline reports Drew will be shopped to other potential buyers.

CBS has ordered Rater and Phelan’s new legal procedural, Doubt, to series.
