It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I’m in the UK and even though i’m a straight guy I love it, the story is cool (I did watch the film) the characters are great, fun and sexy, I have since introduced a 100 plus people to it just by word of mouth, I’m amazed the ratings are so low, for the most part women I know here in the UK love it as its a little fantasy of something they can enjoy when unwinding.
Dont cancel it, here in the UK it will upset people just getting there teeth into it.

I live in the UK and its finally being shown here and its a huge hit with me and load of my friends considering I watched such programs as charmed etc I think this show is brilliant and keeps you really intrigued and wanting to see next episode straight away i’l be sad to see it not return
I really loved Eastwick. It was the highlight of my week. It was a really dumb move on ABC’s part. Even my rabid Chirstian Friend liked it. I will really miss it. I will avoid watching ABC It is a horrible station. There only 1 or 2 shows worth watching the rest is PURE GARBAGE.
I don’t want to see Eastwick go …..Cougar Town could definitely GO along with all the earlier comedy Wednesday shows because they are all unfortunately …..NOT FUNNY. Please do not cancel Eastwick! The reason why anyone would bare watching the earlier shows is to wait for Eastwick to come on …..they should have placed Eastwick on an earlier time so the ratings would improve.
I been watching this show everr since it stated, and seeing it now being canceled despites me. When i first started to watch this show i was like, ” this is going to be like “charmed”(one of my favorite seris ever)” And in a way it was. So i begun watching eastwick evrey airing. “Charmed” was on for about eight years or so, and when it ended i knew there was not going to be another show like this. I’ve been trying to find a show like Charmed since it ended. Now that i find it, ABC cancells it. Blah. never watched ABC until now. Too many whinny people.
They finally have a supernatural show starring women since Charmed ended and now what happens? They don’t give it enough promotion or time and are going to pull it out from the people who love to watch it! I look forward to each and every episode. People are just unsure about it! Show them what they are missing. Advertise it! People will jump on the bandwagon and love it!
Eastwick is such a joy to watch because so many of the other shows are the same story lines over and over and over. Eastwick is fresh and exciting and unpredictable, resulting in, “can’t wait to see the next episode”. Please do not cancel the best show on TV right now! If ABC doesn’t want it, it would be smart for another network to pick it up. And if needed, change the time slot, but we’re sure there is enough people wanting to watch this amazing show.
This is disappointing!!!! Eastwick is a breath of fresh air as far as TV shows go. I agree with Danielle that it was like Sex and the City with a twist. Maybe it did have a slow start but the storyline was still building. Why does it seem like if a show is “different”, it’s the kiss of death? I love Eastwick. I loved Pushing Daisies too. Most of the appeal of both these shows was the fantasy aspect. Who wants to watch a show about a crime that gets solved, we know that can happen. (I’m referring to the 10 varieties of CSI and similiar shows…not Castle, which is a refreshing angle on the tired old cop shows.) It doesn’t suprise me at all that ABC is pulling Eastwick off the air. They have a history of doing this. I really liked the show but it seems people would rather watch a child being abused or a women being beat up or worse rapped then to watch something supernatural or good clean fun. What a let down, I will stick to CBS or lifetime from now on.
I think it’s BS that they are cancelling Eastwick! I’m sick of watching the same ole stupid shows like CSI/Law & order… blahblahblah! Eastwick was different and interesting! They always cancel the good ones and leave the stupid sitcoms on the air!
I think this is Ridiculous!! Eastwick is an amazing show and it should continue. I think that ABC are pathetic to pull out of the show. I really enjoyed watching Eastwick. If ABC don’t like the show and believe there isn’t enough ratings, move it to another network!! This is very disappointing. The show should not be cancelled; it is different, funny and extremely enjoyable. The actors are brilliant and have real chemistry. I hope ABC realise that by cancelling Eastwick, they have upset a large percentage of the public.
Why cancel eastwick? It’s different and fun. It’s like a sex and the city with a little more pizazz. It’s has a little bit of mystery in each episode which makes it fun to watch. The time slot does stink. It’s hard for the age group that watches this show to stay up for a 10 o’clock viewing. It is obviously hard to compete with CSI as it has been around for a long while. Don’t cancel EASTWICK…move it to a different network is you don’t like it!
