It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Great show that has an evolving storyline that is more intriguing every week. ABC could make some money as the show grows slowly. Change the time and see it take off.
Noooo! I am upset this show is being pulled. I thought this was a good. With all the holidays going on I had to record it, but I didn’t miss an episode. Why can’t they just try putting it into another time slot. Seems like every show I get interested in gets cancelled!!!
I have written an e-mail to another network telling them they should look into this show. The network is home of the shows Supernatural and Vampire Diaries. Tell them you love the show and they should pick it up to go with their night of out of the ordinary shows.

It was a nice show. Alittle chick-flick-ish for me but I really did enjoy it. I didn’t really like the note that they left the show off on. But whatever. Maybe another networking show picks it up.
if there are any Witches out there that is interested in helping me send positive energy to the network 2 keep the show please join me. and all others u can help 2 just think strongly about to show continuing and doing well with great story lines.. and that Will work.. we can do anything if we believe first…trust me .
i m so disappointed that they are canceling the only one good show on wednesday. i look foward to watchn it every week. and as a Witch myself it was a breath of fresh air to view the show. i really liked Charmed 2 but this would have been a great more practical showing of how Withes are and can be in life.
I’m SO sorry that Eastwick has been cancelled it was my favorite tv show. I looked forward to watching Eastwick and hated whenever they showed a special in it’s place. I’d tape it and watch it 2-3 times a week and didn’t get tired of watching it. I can’t believe they are replacing it with Ugly Betty, although Ugly Betty is a funny show it doesn’t compare to Eastwick. I too am very sorry to see the show canceled. I thought it was very entertaining. The three main characters were very attractive and fine actresses and kept my interest. I also liked Daryl. I found him to be very charismatic. I liked the writing and the series kept me wanting more. I am one of the many who do not like reality shows and do not watch them. I am upset that Eastwick is being canceled. It was my favorite show of the season. I really hope that it will be picked up by another network. It was the best show out there. I just wish it had a better time slot it was on so late. I wish that they would rethink taking it off the air. I will truly miss Eastwick.
I’ll miss Eastwick. This was the only adult show of the season that was worth watching.
I am so sorry to see Eastwick leave. I cannot stand all the “reality” shows and this is such a breath of fresh air. It’s fun and whimsical and I look forward to it each week. Too bad the networks seem to be allergic to anything different and are afraid to think outside the box.
I will miss this show. My husband & I actually like it. We really started to get into it.
I absolutely LOVE Eastwick and I was so excited that there was finally a show on that I liked. I will be protesting if it doesn’t come back, not that anybody at ABC will really care, but maybe it could get made for the internet? It was a great show with superb acting and awesome storylines.
Such, such, SUCH A SHAME!!! I can’t believe such a great show was cancelled!! My sister and I happened to catch the first episode by chance and we haven’t missed an episode since! I was immediately drawn to the set, which was similar to Gilmore Girls, another shows I loved (I later found out it was the SAME set!)…the cast is charming (I’m a fan of Paul Gross…ever since Due South was on tvtropolis)…the script/dialogue is witty…and the plot leaves you wanting more.
