It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I really like this show. There weren’t many new shows this season that I’ve kept on watching after the first couple of episodes but this was one I really looked forward to.
I am so disappointed! I really like the show. It is an interesting mystery/drama. Much better than Desperate Housewives. I am not a tv watcher and this is the only show I do watch. I think if it would have had a better time slot, more viewers would tune in. The network should give it time to develop
Idiocy, as usual. This was a show for grown-ups, with sly humor and an intelligent storyline and women who looked like women instead of anorexic twelve year olds. They keep Gray’s Anatomy and cancel this. It figures. Guess they can’t go wrong underestiamting the intelligence of viewers.
My daughter and I will miss Eastwick. We both really enjoyed the story and the actors…to bad ABC
At one time new series were given time to develop. That is no longer true. Today if it isn’t an instant success the show is cancelled. The show was slow developing but has gotten to a point where it is one of the best shows on TV. I don’t like the reality shows as there isn’t anything “real” about them. I watch less and less network TV each year so by putting something in its place doesn’t mean it will be watched. I don’t stand alone. There are a lot of us who think primetime TV is dying.
I am going to miss this show. I loved the movie and I love the show!
This is ridiculous abc is hurting its viewership. Eastwick is the only interesting program on abc primetime, and place it in a different time slot at 10pm most people are going to sleep, 9pm would be a better time slot option if abc decides to continue airing the series. Bring Eastwick back it is a delightful program with every dramatic and supernatural twist. Do not be stupid abc Bring Eastwick Back.
Well it looks as though last night was the last of Eastwick. Next week ABC will be bringing you that wonderful show UGLY BETTY. Same time slot and are they ever pushing it. I viewed that incredibly stupid show once and that was enough. If they (ABC) refuse to put Eastwick back on they can count many fewer viewers. My impression of the Ugly Betty show is that it is directed to those between the ages of 10-14. They should have taken a lesson from CHARMING. Maby you think you are to big to fail too like the banks? CEO’s and Shareholders I would seriously take a look who is deciding to pull shows the viewers want.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! Please don’t cancel it!!!! Change the time slot…I always have to record it because I get up early for work, but I never miss it!
Eastwick did not fail….The network failed us. They should of advertised it more has it on at a decent hour and maybe take into account folks work and watch it when and whereever they can. ABC took the episodes off the site so we had to hunt for them on other site making us prey to viruss. Like I say the viewers were there and it was ABC who let us down.

I am upset that the show is being taken off the air. The show didn’t have a chance because of the holidays. Change the time and give it another chance at the first of the year.
Why can’t any of these networks just wait out a show for a season or two before making decisions to cancel?! It takes some time to decide if you’re going to like something and then to tell your friends and family so that they can watch too. Geez ABC, give a girl a little time to fall in love. I really like this show and I think it’s ridiculous to cancel it already.
That sucks. I just started watching it in Nov,but I thaught it was a good show. It’s the best supernatural show I’ve seen since Charmed ended.
Please don’t cancel the show…change time slots, whatever it takes! There are many of us out here that love it…please give it another chance!!
