It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I am a fan of the cw station on facebook and I have wrote to them asking them to pick up this show. ABC never promoted this show. That’s why the ratings were low. Another thing, don’t they think people like me that work odd hours have to record shows to watch them. ABC is full of IDIOTS!!
For the love of God, do not cancel this show. I look forward to it every week. It’s a good adult show, not that reality CRAP!! It’s always about money and not good entertainment!! Another Hollywood disappointing decision.
this show is great!! everyone i know watches it! low rating????? unbelievable. Even if it did get low rating (perhaps me and my circle of people are just a tiny speck in the vast majority), ABC should not skip an episode or two & just air an episode to wrap everything up. They should at least give a proper ending. ABC, u suck. period. BRING EASTWICK BACK!!!! ;o;
I totally agree what everyone is saying they should have showed at an earlier air time with more consistency , from the comments i have seen there seems to be many fans and i think ABC should read these comments and take the advice from the fans and maybe the show might become succesfull , the fans are there you can see from the comments , also the show is fab im a british fan so its made its way all over to me i wish they would concider putting it back on the airxx
I am totally sad that this has been cancelled.. It is a really great show to watch.. I love the characters. I am truly sad to see it go abc has cancelled a few shows that I have come to love to watch… IT SUCKS….abc!!!! I believe there has been episodes that did not air and that blows….
p.s I am really sad to see this show come to an end(even missing some epiosdes)
I always looked forward to watching the show. I was pissed when they skipped episode 11 where they killed off Jaime. Why do they keep so many OTHER shows that are sooooooooo slow and ridiculous (Brothers and Sisters for one, which I watch but it’s gotten so boring now) but they get rid of one that actually has some sizzle to it? Plus…now we’ll never know the backstory. That bugs me the most. If they’d at least wrap it all up then it wouldn’t be so bad.
I just double checked to see if I missed a episode? It seemed liked I missed a lot (looks like ABC forget to air a episode?)
P.S. I was bummed to see that Eastwick is being cancelled it is a very good show. I wish ABC would reconsider.
Loved the show looked forward to waching it. I thought that maybe Fri night would be a better night. I could watch Ghost wisper then Eastwick( good night for tv!!!)
awww… I love this show =( please don’t cancel it. C’mon ABC!!! you leave “Brothers and Sisters” on for this long and you can’t keep a great show like “Eastwick”?! Even “Ugly Betty” is kinda dead to me
I looked forward to this show every week. It was one of the best shows I have seen in a very long time. I am very disappointed it will no longer be on. PLEASE RECONSIDER canceling this GREAT show.
The episode that ended with Roxie about to be attacked by Jamie after he chases her into her shop was never even followed by the next consecutive episode.
ABC sucks.
They pulled the same stunt with “Defying Gravity.” The crew was just about to see what type of alien life-form was in the hatch on their ship, and then the show was dropped for good.
Like I said…… ABC sucks.
Happy New Year David n Chelsea! I totally agree with you, THAT’s IT! They took excerps from the next following episode after the Jamie/knife in Roxie’s face thing. It showed all the girls at the cemetary, then Jamie with that knife in his gut falling into his own pre dug grave, then the girls burying him in his own dirt with their powers. Don’t you kinda like the way the last run episode was though? All seemed to get their man, the “stay” of Darryl in Roxie’s arms and them all dancing in falling snow in Darryl’s mansion with them… Read more »
ABC SUCKS!
Esatwick didn’t have good ratings because ABC didn’t have Eastwick on every week at it’s scheduled air time. I would tune in week after week, tell my family & friends to watch & then ABC would fail to have it on. People thought I was crazy always talking about a show that wasn’t on.
I would hope another station would take the show over & maybe we could see the show at least once a week.
Come on people – Keep Eastwick on the air!!!!

i really wish ABC would NOT cancel this wonderful series…bad enough they skipped weeks without any notice as to why, this is a very interesting and clever show, great dialog and very good acting! Listen to your viewers and keep it on the air….yours truly
