It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Come on – for us working women, the only way to go is to tivo or DVR any show. You can’t tell me that the ratings were that low. I am tired of police shows (3 separate Law and Orders?) and all the hospital shows are the same (how much longer do we have to hear about Swine Flu). Give Eastwick another chance for those of us longing for something new and interesting. I have yet to see a new show (on any network) stay up (Lipstick Jungle, Cashmere Mafia, Swingtown…)
I love this show. Finaly some good entertainment. Great cast and storylines. Get rid of the other crappy shows. Please keep Eastwick…….

GREAT CAST -WONDERFUL STORY LINE-DIFFERENT KIND OF SERIES-WHAT IS WRONG WITH NETWORKS??????? PUMP UP THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE LOVE SUPER NATURAL. PLEASE GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE.

I love this show its my most favorite i don’t know why they had to cancel it.. just because many people were not watching it. It is one of the best shows that i have seen in a long time. I think that the show should come back on. T.V has become very stupid all the good shows are going of the air and all of the shows that suck are still playing. I say put eastwick back on air.
Love this show, haven’t wanted to watch a show every week for a long time. You should reconsider cancelling, this is a great show.
ABC should bring back Eastwick. Is was a GREAT show. It was suspenseful and had you wanting more. I’ve seen every episode.

I love this show. I agree with all the other comments, CRAP continues to be on aired, repeats of man, many stupid show, but Eastwick was never even given a chance. Please give this show a chance!!!!!!!!!
I really liked this show. Very disappointed that they pulled this show. I thought Lost was strange and look how long it lasted!!
I can’t believe Eastwick was “cancelled”………..and replaced by “Ugly Betty” (time for Betty to hang up her “braces”…….this show has run its course). I agree that there was no advertising to promote the show……..come on people, bring it back……..or hopefully another network will pick it up.
Ugly Betty is so great too. Although, I am also very disappointed about Eastwick! I personally think that if they wouldn’t have kept skipping weeks in between episodes. I really hope another channel picks it up.
Why? I love this show , it was funny, it had passion, suspence,I looked forward to fridays. I even thought i missed an episode.As far as recording the episodes, which i did all the time due to my husband watching hockey. I really hope ABC brings eastwick back! PLEASE!
I love this show – it’s the only thing on Wednesday that I actually look forward to. So tired of all that reality and contest crap! It was a nice change – something my daughter and I looked forward to watching together. Please reconsider or at least give another channel a chance. No wonder everyone is turning to cable TV – they’re the only ones that really know what people like!
When ER & Charmed went off the air – I had no other show that interested me. When Eastwick aired – I thought YES I found a show to watch.
I give up on ABC & all tv, even considering cancelling cable.
O hope everyone has noticed the available online petition that is on this site. I have been here complaining nicely for a few months and I just noticed it today… Here is another great one for us Eastwick lovers…This morning while watching the Thoroughbred/horse racing channel TVG, there was a race with a runner in it named, no other than, “Darryl Van Horne”.
