TV show description:
This TV series gives a new take on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle characters. It’s a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases.
Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare — a sober companion, Doctor Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). She was a successful surgeon until she lost a patient and her license three years ago.
Watson views her current job as another opportunity to help people, as well as paying a penance. However, the restless Sherlock is nothing like her previous clients. He informs her that none of her expertise as an addiction specialist applies to him and he’s devised his own post-rehab regimen — resuming his work as a police consultant in New York City.
Watson finds she has no choice but to accompany her irascible new charge on his jobs. In the end, Sherlock finds her medical background helpful, and Watson realizes she has a knack for playing investigator.
Sherlock’s police contact is Captain Tobias “Toby” Gregson (Aidan Quinn). He knows, from previously working with Scotland Yard, that Sherlock is brilliant at closing cases, and welcomes him as part of the team.
Episode #154 — The Last Bow
Amidst Holmes and Watson’s battle with tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach, the investigators receive word of their old enemy and Sherlock’s former love, Jamie Moriarty.
First aired: August 15, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Elementary TV series on CBS? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for season eight?
Most excellent show. This is close to Grimm but not quite. It is good though. I love this show. I didn’t think they would fit. But they went together well. I love this show
I love Elementary. I run a non profit that employs adults with autism. Holmes presents a strong character that several of my employees can feel good about; he is bright, self assured, successful but also has issues that make him real and vulnerable. I also love Watson. She doesn’t let Sherlock off of the hook when he needs to be held accountable. She sees his gifts and his short comings but still allows him to be a leader. It’s a wonderful show with compelling characters.
Love the modern version of one of my favorite characters in literature. Show is well written and cast is first rate.
I love Elementary and watch it every chance I get.
I think Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu play their characters off each other beautifully and I hope the series will continue indefinitely.

Please do not cancel this show. I love it.
I really like this show. please do not cancel it.
I’m so glad Elementary was renewed. I hope it continues for several more years. I watch marathons of the show from recordings I’ve made and even watch repeats on another network. One really good thing about this show is every time I watch a repeat show, I always see something that I didn’t catch before. The writers do a great job with details in the storyline so it’s never boring, keeps you in suspense, and keeps your attention to the very end. Thank you CBS for keeping this show.
