ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

There is very little if nothing to watch on tv. Every show that is fascinating and holds your attention in suspense you cancel!!! The Glades, The Finder, Life , and now the best shows on tv. Forever has the most unique story line in a long time, we watch reruns repetitively just waiting on the new episode , now there is not going to be one! I’m a uk vìewer & I love this show please do not cancel it or can some other network take it up it’s like when Sky Living stopped broadcasting Supernatural thank goodness for our E4 station to continue please keep Forever.
I cannot believe this show was cancelled! I can’t understand why the ratings were so low. I mean, this was one of the best shows on TV this season. Not just your same old cop show or mystery, it had a great backstory and the plot twists were great. I really hope Netflix or someone picks this show up. I’m just not finished watching the story of Henry, along with Abe & Jo. It really needs to continue!
ABC are idiots..they cancelled FOREVER AS OF today may 8th. Please Netflix or someone like it pick it up.. it’s fans are very loyal and would continue to watch what ever network picked it up….please somebody pick it up. It’s too good to cancelled like this.

ABC has very little of interest to me. Forever is one of the few. Whoever decided to cancel it should have their head examined. It’s a good show. Maybe it just needed a different night and more consistent showings. It was missing every couple of weeks. That sabotages a show every time!!!
This is such a great show, I hope very much that ABC will change their minds! The characters and cast are wonderful and have a great chemistry. The murder cases to be solved each week have been unique and interesting. The big secret has a really different twist and the budding romance of Henry and Jo is just getting started. I believe more people would be watching if they knew it even existed – please bring it back and give it some additional advertising and support!
No…do not cancel .. You just made it really interesting with him sharing the secret with a new person, and potential love interest. You have a new hook that she is going to understand that she may have to kill him.. It’s soooooooo cool.
I just read that Forever has been cancelled. I think you should CANCEL the person that decided to cancel this show. It is one of the few good ones on TV.
With all the mail you have received asking you not to cancel, you cancelled it anyway. WHY? If people aren’t watching it, it is only because they don’t know it is there.
This is the first time in my life I have ever written to any TV station and I agree with another person who has written in and said they would never watch channel 7 again.
