The game is over. Deadline reports NBC has cancelled their new drama Game of Silence during its first season.
The series revolves around five childhood friends who have kept a dark secret for 25 years. The cast includes David Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Larenz Tate, Bre Blair, Claire van der Boom, Deidrie Henry, Conor O’Farrell, and Demetrius Grosse.
Only six episodes into its run, Game of Silence has received steady-but-low ratings, earning an average of .81 in the 18-49 demo and 3.898 million viewers.
NBC has also cancelled the freshman medical drama Heartbeat and the Eva Longoria comedy Telenovela.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I loved this show and was drawn into it from the first episode. The show just needs a chance to grow its audience – sometimes these shows need a season to get started. NBC should reconsider – or another network should pick it up and let the show thrive
Game of silence is spellbinding. Too bad NBC did not actually advertise very well for this show while it was running. Otherwise, the leadership would have been much higher. I would strongly recommend renewing the show and doing ads prior to its resumption. Alternatively, another channel should pick this show up. Remember what happened with Breaking Bad?
I believe it wasn’t marketed well either. I almost forgot to watch it when if came on because I only saw the trailer once.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK GAME OF SILENCE! It was an awesome show. How are you guys gonna have a season finale and end the way it did? OMG. PLLLLLLEEEEASE!!! You gotta show the investigator and how she was crooked and the Warden and who killed the pregnant attorney wife? Ugh….Bring it back!
I totally was a fan of Game of Silence! didn’t realize it was canceled and am very, very disappointed!!!! I watched AND DVR’d this show!!!! BRING IT BACK!!!

I was addicted…you should keep in consideration that most Americans don’t have time to sit in front of the T.V. on the regular. I DVR all of my shows. The Game of Silence was one of my favorite, totally addicted. You can’t cancel a show based on live ratings anymore. DVR people, DVR, count that vote.

There is no way you can cancel this show after having a season finale like that. Game of Silence is one of the best tv shows I have watched recently. Please renew.
