Looks like CBS is unfriending God Friended Me. CBS just announced they’ve cancelled the TV show after two seasons, Deadline reports.
The series revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall) whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God.” The cast also includes Violett Beane, Joe Morton, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, and Erica Gimpel, with Adam Goldberg and Jessica Lu recurring.
The second season of God Friended Me is averaging a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.24 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 25% in the demo by down by 20% in viewership. That’s quite a dip in the ratings for the CBS TV show
What do you think? Do you watch God Friended Me? Would you have watched season three?
Watch or stream faithfully.Good story line and well acted. Sorry to see it cancelled
I think God Friended Me is one of the best series on TV. It should continue even if Miles knows who is behind the account and continue his good works. He can keep who is behind it a secret between himself, Cara and Rajesh and it will still be interesting!
Please don’t cancel it – just do a continuum’s and include a new love interest for Miles!
Thank you
One of my favorite shows. I will really miss it. Why do the shows with sadness and violence get renewed ?
I think it is a very good program, with good story lines. I would definitely watch season 3!
Really disappointed, my wife and I deemed this our special time together. Little or no foul language , over the top sex screens, excessive violence or negativity we found refreshing. We would take about the show and the story line messages which were thought provoking. There is a saying, “if you want to know the end watch the beginning.” The writers did a good job keeping me engaged trying to figure out how this episode would end.
This is a real disappointment. The show was interesting, uplifting and kept you wondering. I will miss it. Just one more example of corporate bigshots cancelling great entertainment.
We LOVE this show! I truly hope someone decides to pick it up. It is so original and well written. The actors are so real and likable and we will really miss it so much!
Yes, my husband and I both watch this show…We will miss it…I just hope that all the unanswered questions are addressed in the Series Finale…I hate it when a series ends with no answers!
This is our favorite program on tv. We look forward to it every week. It’s great to have a clean family program. Please don’t cancel. There is too much violence on tv. We love God Friended Me. Don’t take it off.
It is Sad that a show that actually has a purpose is being cancelled one without violence hate sex and all that stuff teaches us new things every week It helps us have a good feeling about how people can work out their differences and communicate .
With all the violence hate and problems in the world This show provides a strong distraction and shows us hope.
Please Reconsider your cancellation RENEW PLEASE
I thoroughly enjoy the show. I look for it to watch!! Why does it have to be the lower demographic? I’m older….Please keep it!
Yes! One of the best shows on TV. Sure hope they wrap up the stories!
I love this show and look forward to watching it on Sunday night! I would definitely watch Season 3 and onwards! Very disappointed in this cancellation.
Shocked. With all the junk on TV, a really entertaining and good show comes around and CBS cancels it. Just don’t know understand.
God Friended Me is such an uplifting show. Emphasizing the love of family, acceptance of differences and what faith can do. Cbs cancelling this show is a mistake. There is so much violence depicted in programming these days and then a great program comes on and, of course it gets cancelled. I have very few shows I watch on a regular basis and/or record and I am extremely disappointed with CBS decision.
One of the most uplifting and positive shows on CBS. My 30 year old son and I look forward to it every week. With the corona virus keeping us fearful, this show is needed more than ever.
