Get ready for another season of Gold Rush: White Water. Discovery Channel announced that season nine of the reality series would premiere on the network later this month, with episodes also airing on Max and Discovery+.
However, this will be the final season of the reality series. Earlier this month, Chilkat Valley News reported that an email was sent out that production on the series was done for the foreseeable future. Season nine was filmed last summer.
During season eight of the reality series, Dustin Hurt and his crew found a $70k gold nugget, and they will risk it all to find more. Discovery Channel shared more about the series’ return:
“Last year, Dustin Hurt’s crew struck a 6-ounce, $70K nugget – the biggest in Gold Rush history. This season, he’s risking everything for more. It’s all or nothing – a gamble that could make them millions or end their mining careers forever.
In the season premiere, Dustin and his loyal crew head deep into the remote Alaskan wilderness on their most ambitious, difficult, and dangerous season ever, as they risk their lives in the raging creeks of Alaska searching for a life-changing pile of gold nuggets.”

Dustin and the crew are great to watch. Shame they left it without us knowing if they got the motherload of gold or not!!!
I love the show hate to hear it was cancelled I am a loyal follower of gold rush white water
This show has run its course. they never seem to grasp that what they’re doing, isn’t working, yet they keep doing the same thing over and over. dig a hole… Next day, it’s filled with water and rocks… dig the hole again…. Next day filled with water and rocks… etc etc…. plus dustin should be ashamed of himself. he owes his entire crew, an apology for the way he’s treated them this season.
This show has gotten so bad. Dustin doesn’t deserve to be on TV in any way. He is a de-motivator in every way.
Gold Rush white water is one of my favorite shows. I’ve never missed an episode. It’s so raw, real. I’m so disappointed the show was cancelled. I hope discovery channel reconsiders and renews the show for season 10. Thankyou.
Not woke enough and it didn’t have any of the entitled and special privileged people in it. Another good show gone!
I have watched many series including Gold Rush, Bering Sea Gold show, and White Water. I have never seen a business like the White water mining bring in so little and still be in business. My guess is the only thing that keeps the show afloat is payments from Discovery? And there seems to be so little analysis in finding the next “gold filled” digging site. Any normal business would be bankrupt by now. I quite frankly think Dustin’s desperation and him taking it out on his men has become pathetic. Can no longer watch it.

Good show. Whitewater still has actually new stuff happening each year. Gold rush with Parker and the rest are so much of the same thing that they don’t even show repairs or anything, it’s just well another belt almost broke. At least on whitewater you never know what to expect, it’s never the same old same old. Whitewater, Freddy and Juan and (Dave Turin’s to a lesser extent) are still kind of exciting. One of my favorites… why cancel the good ones ???
Discovery always cancels really good shows,like white water,fast and loud,philly throttle,and fired up garage,bot keeps crap on,once this season of gold rush has finished,I won’t bother watching discovery ANYMORE.
Come on add more spun offs of Gold Rush not cancel existing ones
Whie Water great show, Discovery has canceled too many good Alaskan shows in recent years. Losing many viewers.

They canceled this but keep a stupid show like Naked and Afraid.
That is about, right…… They take off a good show and put on a Male and Female HUNK show that only gorgeous humans are actors in it because average people will not be BEAUTIFUL ENOUGH to be cast for any part in those type shows ?????
