An ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, and Richard Schiff. The show centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a new surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. His incredible memory and keen ability to perceive spatial relations inform Shaun’s gifted comprehension of his patients. Meanwhile, his autism can hinder his ability to communicate with others. With only the help of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), Shaun must challenge the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital’s board and medical staff, in order to do his job and save lives.

Accurate and important portrayal of this disability; my Autistic son loves this show, and he is very critical of inaccurate writing about those who are on the spectrum.

Best show on TV! Freddie Highmore is exceptional in his role!!!!! Watched every episode and can hardly wait for next season!!!! Please DO NOT cancel this program!!!! In it’s first season, it was nominated for an award for best show! Although, it didn’t win, still very impressive to be nominated!! Can’t beat that
I love this show and hope we do not loose it
I work at the schools with Autistic children and this is so important for them and their parents to see. I really think every parent should watch this and learn and explain to their children as there are so many children with this at regular schools it my help them to understand what is going on with their fellow students. The acting is terrific
