If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

What the hell is the networks problem?? Don’t the viewers count? We love the show! Everyone I know watches the show and we want to see it go all the way. Please consider those of us who watch and quit playing reruns if other ****!!
I think ABC should think through the shows before they air them. I enjoyed East Wick very much but they didn’t give it a real chance, and now Happy town is going by the wayside. Come on ABC…. Grow up for crying out loud. Do you really think we want to watch reruns rather than a new show!!
ABC has a history of starting a show with heavy advertising to get viewers to watch. When you do watch it and if it turns out to interest you, you are suddenly disappointed because they cancel it. I don’t understand the thinking of the powers that be at ABC. I am not going to watch new shows until ABC decides they want to continue it for a while.
Seriously! My husband and I just started getting into this show.. ABC puts a show on a night that there isn’t much on TV, and people probably won’t be watching it. Plus the build up for the show made it seem like a weird horror-flick or something. But after giving it a chance, my husband and I really liked it! ABC has to stop canceling things before they get a following. Not everyones going to watch a show right away. Heck, I didn’t even get into LOST till the 3rd season and then got a lot of other people into… Read more »
Stop moaning on this or any other site! Let ABC know how you feel! Go to abc.go.com and at the bottom is Contact Us. Dash off a note to them and tell them what you’re saying here. Take off the gloves. They’re a monolith (not unlike an oil company) that probably doesn’t give a hoot about the “small people”. Let ’em know. We all agree here. It doesn’t get the show back or back any sooner than they’re going to dangle it. Squeaky wheels get the grease. Direct your complaints to where they might do the most good. Now, only… Read more »
I’m very irritated with ABC cancelling their shows before they give them a chance. Also, putting shows on hold for weeks at a time makes NO sense to me. It’s confusing and frustrating from a viewer’s perspective. I didn’t start watching Happy Town at the beginning, but I am a fan of the show now. I want to know who the Magic Man is! Don’t leave us hanging ABC, like you did with Flashforward!!!
This is absolutely ridiculous. People get hooked on a show and now they’re jerking us around, just like CBS did with Cold Case. Geez, give the freakin show a chance! They’ve got the episodes in the can, just show them and be done with it!
I am getting so Fu*king mad at ABC. The do these installment dramas, get you hooked and then they disappear. Just like Eastwick before it. I am going to Boycott ABC in the future
This is a good show, but it needed to be on HBO, SHOWTIME OR STARZ. The non-networks build a show they don’t just bail on it five or six shows in. That’s why poeple can’t get into network shows, there’s no guarantee it will run its course. Thankfully I still have “True Blood” and hopefully “Spartacus.” Thanks for nothing ABC, will a real broadcaster please pick up “Happy Town.”
I HATE getting into a serial, only to have the network cancel it without showing all the episodes!
Yes I’m pissed about the last two episodes not airing when they said they were going to. I been watching since the start and instead of giving it a chance ABC literly killed the show as more persons i talked knew nothing of it (poorly advertised & the worse time to beginning to air the show) these people were trying to veiw it but continuly being upset by ABC’s veiwing schedule. LET IT PLAY you might be unplesently surprised!! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!
I’m really enjoying the show. Figures, anytime there is something worthwatching, the networks want to pull it……no wonder I usually stick to cable.
YES VERY UPSET WAS A VERY GOOD SHOW
Enough said!!!! Another show from ABC cancelled before we even know what’s going on!
I started watching Happy Town, looked interesting, got hooked, trying to figure out who did it and they (ABC) pulled it? The least they could do is have one that tells you who it.
