Sorry, Greg Grunberg. It turns out that Ali Larter might just be right. It seems that the Heroes wrap-up movie isn’t happening.
As fans know all too well, after NBC cancelled Heroes in May, there was talk about wrapping up the TV show’s storylines as either a movie or a mini-series. Despite the fact that some time had passed, series creator Tim Kring recently indicated he was still optimistic.
He said, “It looks like we’re really going to start talking about it now. The summer months in television are always about preparing for the Fall launch of all the new shows, so I totally understand why there hasn’t been a lot of discussion [until now]. Once the Fall season is launched, I fully believe that this discussion will get reignited in a very big way.”
Now, according to EW sources, NBC isn’t going ahead with the project, at least for the 2010-11 season. However, that may not be the end of the Heroes universe. Kring believes that the show’s broad premise allows for many different stories to be told in many different ways.
What do you think? If not onscreen, how would you like to see Heroes continue — as books, comics, animation, web shorts, or in some other form?

That was obvious, it’s pure Logic. This show was too smart. Ratings fell because rednecks didn’t watch it. And NBC like others don’t give a sh.. about people. they just want money. Buying rednecks money.
I just bought all 4 seasons and couldn’t stop watching! I hope they do something with this series! So annoyed with the politics!
We loved this show! Granted, some seasons were better than others, (occurs in most long running shows), but overall, great and with awesome actors. And not a run of the mill soap opera, or cop show! We must have a mini series to wrap up! Really!
heroes has been a great show
you just can’t cancel it
Because HEROES pissed the NWO ! Why Else ??!!
I’m pissed. Bring it back!
Good news. NBC has a similar new show coming out in January. Looks interesting but I think I’m going to take a pass. Why watch something like The Cape when you know it’s only going to last a couple of seasons at best and you’ll be lucky if there’s any kind of ending to the story line?
WTF This is so crazy how can they do this! Me and my wife loved this show so much and they cancel it! Seems like whenever we get into a show and really enjoy they cancel it! Please please wrap it up with a movie or a mini series or something!!
I agree w/other commentators – HEROS was my favorite show, very intriguing. I was very upset when they cancelled TV series w/o closure. Come on, give us a movie wrap-up or a “last” season!
i just started watching the show on netflix i didnt know about it till like a few weeks ago but NBC stopping the series before it ended is very upseting because it was one of my favorite shows iv ever watched instantly really hoping they finish up the series its not fair to the fans.
I fell in love with this show. We actually came across season one at the library and rented it out of curiosity and was blown away, then rented all seasons and when the final season came out got that thinking wed get it in time to watch new season and was just completely heartbroken when I found out they cancelled it. What were they thinking? It was the best show! I’ve never been so loyal this sucks!!!
I just want them to wrap it up… I was so disappointed that they didn’t even consider the fans when they left us all hanging at the end of the season. So frustrating!!
This is soooooo wrong!!! This was the ONLY show I was committed to. Heroes fans can’t just be left hanging like this. NBC – have some decency to your viewers and give us a final season, please! If not that, then a movie would do just as well… and would undoubtedly be a blockbuster. Come oooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!
I really want to know what happens next I know It got really crazy there for a little bit but they can totally finish this right and then I can have closure.
It was my favorite show, cannot believe it was cancelled . Every time I like a show it gets cancelled!!
