Is It Cake? is returning for more. Netflix has renewed the baking competition series for a third season and announced it will return in March with eight new episodes.
Hosted by Mikey Day (Saturday Night Live), the Is It Cake? series features a group of contestants as they try to recreate common objects with cake in an effort to fool celebrity judges. The winner of each episode takes home $5,000 and has the chance to win more if they themselves can identify if the display of cash is real or a well-decorated mass of cake.
The Netflix show, created by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, debuted on the streamer in March 2022 and was renewed for a second season in June of that year. Season two was released in June 2023. Sixteen episodes have aired thus far.
Netflix shared the following about the renewal of the series:
“The hit series returns with bigger cakes, higher stakes, and wilder bakes! This season, watch as a new batch of bakers push the boundaries of culinary craftsmanship, creating hyper-realistic cakes to trick and deceive their way to the ultimate cash prize. Once again, you’ll find yourself asking the question – is it real? Or… Is It Cake?”
The baking competition series returns on March 29th. More photos from season three are below.
