TV show description:
A fantasy comedy-drama from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved, self-centered, and materialistic.
He is just starting to wake up to the fact that his obsessions with status and possessions have not brought him any happiness. At his lowest moment, Kevin is confronted with an incredible mission: it is up to him to save the world.
While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin goes back home to Texas to stay with family. A widow, Amy (Swisher) is his twin sister, and the mother of a teenaged daughter, Reese (East). Their relationship has faded with time and distance, so Kevin doubts they can repair their connection.
There, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events — not the least of which is a meteorite crashing near the family home. He then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that 36 righteous souls are born into each generation. Their very existence protects the world, and he is the very last of his generation.
Humanity is on the precipice of a catastrophe. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Whether or not he wants to fulfill it, Kevin’s mission is to “power up” his soul. The only way to do so is by committing selfless acts of kindness.
Should he stay on the straight and narrow, Kevin will eventually be able to locate and anoint the next generation of righteous souls. Yvette, meanwhile, will protect and guide him, train and instruct him, and most of all, brook no insolence from him.
Series Finale:
Episode #16 — The Right Thing
Kevin struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin might be in jeopardy while helping a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes. Yvette makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones guest stars); and Amy receives an unexpected visit that changes everything.
First aired: March 6, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
I just love this show. Its has so much potential and its positive in many ways for so many different genres and teenagers although they love blood and gore its nice to have a show thats enlightening. Please keep this show
I absolutely love this new show. I commented earlier this past Nov or Dec 2017. This show is by far one of the newest and best ways to have sensitive human issues brought to light in an incredibly direct and caring manner. Suicide is a monster of an issue that should never be put in a box again only to gather dust. I have loved this show from the beginning episode today and beyond. Thank you!!! many times for not giving up on this series. It means life for me.
Yours truly,
Brad Garrett
Great tv. Love all the characters and the interaction they have between them. All the story lines are fun, sometimes heart jerking, but always entertaining. Jason Ritter is hilarious, such a great actor. Keep this show going, it is a breath of fresh air.
I hope this show stays on the air – love the cast and I love the stories each week!
I love things show. Please no!
I had several episodes taped and once I started, I wanted to keep watching. Love this show and the cast. A show about hope! A much needed new type of show…no more reality shows or characters that are silly or with unattainable realities.
I love this show. I really love to watch Jason Ritter and all his fellow actors. You get to laugh and cry at the same time. My famiy and I love it please don’t take this from us. AWSOME
I love this show, it’s hard to make me laugh and this show does it! It’s also opened up my eyes and I usually feel uplifted after each episode, please renew this show!!
My family loves this show. It fills a gap left by Arrested Development and Gravity Falls that we loved so much. With so many other reality, crime, contest, etc. content, it holds some valuable moral messages without heavy doses of religious material. Well done.
We absolutely love this new show. A wonderful family friendly show. Jason Ritter is so charming and funny, perfect for the lead character. Please don’t cancel this show, we need more tv shows like this, that the family can watch together.
Great show I hope that it gets renewed for next season. Finally a tv show that is funny, gives folks hope and is family friendly!
My wife and I both enjoy the show. It’s funny, light and a lovable cast. We want to see where it’s heading. Please keep it going.
My favorite show on TV.
