TV show description:
A fantasy comedy-drama from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved, self-centered, and materialistic.
He is just starting to wake up to the fact that his obsessions with status and possessions have not brought him any happiness. At his lowest moment, Kevin is confronted with an incredible mission: it is up to him to save the world.
While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin goes back home to Texas to stay with family. A widow, Amy (Swisher) is his twin sister, and the mother of a teenaged daughter, Reese (East). Their relationship has faded with time and distance, so Kevin doubts they can repair their connection.
There, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events — not the least of which is a meteorite crashing near the family home. He then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that 36 righteous souls are born into each generation. Their very existence protects the world, and he is the very last of his generation.
Humanity is on the precipice of a catastrophe. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Whether or not he wants to fulfill it, Kevin’s mission is to “power up” his soul. The only way to do so is by committing selfless acts of kindness.
Should he stay on the straight and narrow, Kevin will eventually be able to locate and anoint the next generation of righteous souls. Yvette, meanwhile, will protect and guide him, train and instruct him, and most of all, brook no insolence from him.
Series Finale:
Episode #16 — The Right Thing
Kevin struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin might be in jeopardy while helping a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes. Yvette makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones guest stars); and Amy receives an unexpected visit that changes everything.
First aired: March 6, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is an awesome comedy/ drama program. The special effects and mysterious story lines make for a winning combination. I find the show a very entertaining romp every week providing laughs and a human factor that is lost in today’s world. I really do hope Kevin Saves the World! Jason Ritter is a very talented actor and reminds me of his father, the great John Ritter who would be very proud of his son. It would be interesting to see if they can take on Washington DC. Maybe the spirit of the show and the need… Read more »
I absolutely love this show. I want that it stays
The show is really good! BIG mistake taking it off the air.
I think this show is funny and heart warming. My husband and I watch it every week. Low-rated by whom?????? I’m so sick of shows that are nothing but sex, hatefulness, and murder. I also wonder if this show got enough publicity!!
Love it. My son and I really enjoy watching it. Please keep this show on the air.
Great show! I hope it doesn’t get cancelled!!!!
I love this show. It has so much heart. It makes me happy in a world that seems to want to destroy itself. Please keep this show.
Please don’t cancel another great show. I’ve about had it with ABC and cancelling this show could be the last straw. Restore my faith in this network and keep this show on your line up.
I LOVE THIS SHOW. I don’t usually watch stations 4-6- 10. This show should not be canceled. The actors do a great job and I am left always wanting more.
I’m so tired of investing in a show only to have it disappear. I sure hope they don’t tank this one. I haven’t had that many genuine laugh-out-loud, slap-the-table moments with any show I can remember. They also pull off the drama well. Fingers crossed. Should take quite a while to find that many righteous souls, right?
I like this show a lot. I like the story line, the characters, and the fact that it’s a pleasant show to watch. It’s nice to have the option to watch a show that’s not heavy drama, silly sitcom, or zombies.
This show is nothing less than great! A bright spot in gloomy times.
Our favorite new show! Kevin probably saves the world has heart and the cast does an amazing job of delivering humor and honesty. Please keep this show going! It’s a story that needs to be told.
I love this show. It has great messages to it. The cast is great as well. This is a good show to promote good to all. This is the type of shows that are good for television. We have watch the episodes more than once. We have told many friend and family about it. Several has been hooked after watching. Keep it coming. Love the acting in it.
I am thoroughly enjoying every episode! The cast is brilliant – every one of them is quirky in a way that works. The angel idea is weirdly good, and the fact that Kevin is trying to find the good in us is a good thing in the U.S. right now.
