Tim Allen and company have had a successful Friday night run with Last Man Standing on ABC. The sitcom has more than enough episodes for syndication so, how long will it continue? Will it be cancelled this time around, or will it be renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
On Last Man Standing, Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores. He has a wife and three daughters so it can be a little tough to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man. The rest of the cast includes Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Christoph Sanders, Hector Elizondo, Flynn Morrison, Jordan Masterson, and Jonathan Adams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Last year comparison: The fifth season of Last Man Standing averaged a 1.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.74 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Last Man Standing TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a seventh season?
5/10 update: ABC has cancelled Last Man Standing after six seasons.
I like the show, it’s funny, clean and upbeat. The acting is good too.
It was a clean show for families. Now only liberal shows are on. No longer can watch this station.
Keep this show!!!
I have watched the past seasons on Netflix so many times and it never gets old. Does ABC server and support ALL Americans or only a certain group? Another example that freedom of speech is doomed in America.
The ONLY show on ABC I watched “was” Last Man Standing”. Now that they canceled one of the best shows (even based on ratings over last 6 seasons), I have NO reason to watch ABC anymore. its sad when networks decide to succumb to political wills and not the peoples wills. I have not heard any bad things about this show. There was NO reason to cancel at least without a final season !! Idiots abound….. I hope a “smarter” networks sees the value and picks it up
Not happy about this at all. Best show on and we watch re runs every night. Sensorship is wasted on the wrong people!
This is the best sitcomon TV all the actors work well together. I watched every week and the
reruns. If it’s to conversative for some many people have the same opinions. We don’t all think like Steven Colbert.
Love the show so funny and a good family show. I thought Disney was a family company. Bring it back
Best show to come around for everyone to enjoy together! Watch them over & over! Hope a better network picks them up!
Leave the show on… Best comedy in years…the actors fit like a glove.
Of all the garbage on television these days, Last Man Standing is a show that illustrates much of the ridiculas ways of our American life however with a good spin of humor to lighten the reality of it all. It gives us an opportunity to laugh at ourselves and in some ways to feel better. This show will be missed as was Home Improvement.
One of the best show, i always waiting for it. I hope they wont cancel it.
hope cmt hallmark or netflix aquires the series to continue it
hope some other non butthurt democrat channel picks this up for new episodes im never watching ABC again
ABC is cancelling one of the best shows on tv, if not the best. But Tim Allen is to conservative for ABC. I have always felt the show gets it point across on both sides of politics.
This is a sad day for people who want to watch a good sitcom.
Sad
This is one of the best shows on ABC. Cancelling it is so sad. I know of at least 20 of my friends alone that can’t wait until Friday to watch the show. Is there any way to keep this great show going?
