What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Amazon Prime Video paid subscription platform, The Last Tycoon stars Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer, Lily Collins, Rosemarie DeWitt, Dominique McElligott, Enzo Cilenti, Mark O’Brien, Jessica De Gouw, Koen De Bouw, Jennifer Beals, Saul Rubinek, and Eion Bailey.
Inspired by the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, the period drama centers on “Hollywood’s Golden Boy” Monroe Stahr (Bomer). The young producer struggles with studio boss Pat Brady (Grammer), over the path they should take. The two clash, when the Nazi regime informs them that they will have to abide by Hitler’s standards, if they want to release their films in Germany. Set during the Great Depression — as Hitler’s influence grows in Europe — The Last Tycoon chronicles the high and lows of the film industry, in 1930s Hollywood.
As of September 11, 2017, The Last Tycoon is cancelled, with no season two. Stay tuned for further updates.

What do you think? Should The Last Tycoon TV show have been renewed for a second season? How do you feel, now that Amazon has cancelled this TV series, instead?
Great writing, acting, casting, lighting. In short a series about Hollywood better than current Hollywood. Please, if you care about quality programming, renew “The Last Tycoon”.
Please renew season 2, loved series
Love it…PLEASE RENEW!
Amazing Series. More Please!
I absolutely loved it! Please, I beg you to bring it back!!!
I hope for lights ,action, and the next season two of the “The Last Tycoon.”
All the glamour of Hollywood back then caught this girl with stage fright if they do not continue.
My wife and I loved the series. The acting, sets, music and story were awesome. These mini-series have such an advantage over a typical 90 minute film at the movie theaters. The picture and sound quality were breathtaking. We sure hope there is more to come, like lots more.
Please renew! Loved the series … couldn’t wait to each episode..
Yes..I hope it will be renewed! Excellent show. Beautifully written and acted. Don’t leave us hanging!
I very much enjoy this show, and I think it’s an excellent representation of the original “Golden Age” of Hollywood. The cast is excellent, the script flawless – and it has the reliable action pace of the very era it portrays. I’m hoping for a Season 2 – PLEASE. We have tons of television but not everything is a quality piece. This one is.
Very entertaining!! Few more seasons please!!
Please Renew!!!
Renew it
It’s great
I certainly hope that Amazon does decide to renew “THE LAST TYCOON” for another season. It’s the best series I have watched for a long time. The drama as well as historical themes surrounding this masterpiece could easily make a few seasons
more to watch. The writing is spectacular and if their was a scale for season 1 I would most definitely give it a 5 star rating. Amazons best by far.
With all the graphic, sci fi, criminal, comedy shows out there, there is definitely audience for this kind of a fine artsy show. Amazon may even win an Emmy or two. Don’t cancel please!
