ITV isn’t lying to you. Digital Spy reports the UK network has ordered a second season of their TV show Liar.
Season one of the thriller followed a teacher (Joanne Froggatt) and a highly regarded surgeon (Ioan Gruffudd) who share one date with dire consequences. The cast also included Zoë Tapper, Warren Brown, Richie Campbell, Jamie Flatters, Shelley Conn, Danny Webb, and Rita McDonald Damper.
Although ITV has ordered a second season of Liar, fans will be waiting awhile to find out how what happens. The network says production on the new season won’t begin until January 2019. Both Froggatt and Gruffudd are expected to return for season two.
Also, while the first season of Liar was a co-production between ITV and SundanceTV, it’s unclear if the latter will be involved with season two.
What do you think? Have you seen Liar? Are you glad it’s been renewed?
Loved this show. The ending of season one really threw me. Have to find out how that guy died all by himself!
To many suspects.i think it was the sister.
How can there be a season 2 or is it a whole new cast?
The first one was certainly intriguing but I don’t see how it could continue.
Great series! Let’s hope that Sundance TV has the good sense to be involved with season 2. US fans would love to see it continued.
OK, I’ll wait in 2019 to see what happens next. Anyway, I’m glad it’s been renewed.
I thought it was great, enjoyed the suspense. Looking forward to season 2.
Typical for UK shows- takes just as long as Netflix shows.
