What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
Please reconsider Life in Pieces. It’s very well written, and deserves a fifth season. We need to know if Matt and Colleen will survive the Germany move.
Fox could pick it up?
The show was murdered by CBS and some nice tv company needs to revive it.
I loved this show but thought the finale was horrible. I would love for another network to pick it back up.
I was hoping for a fifth season. Please, CBS?
Love this show. Best family entertainment on TV. Please bring it back.
Sad to see this show end. It is one of the most entertaining show with some real comedy & a bit of drama!
Loved this show! The kids especially are great actors. So much nonsense on TV. This was a fun show to watch please bring it back!
This final season was the worst of all. Terrible writing, the jokes weren’t funny and way too many sexual innuendos in front of the kids on the show. Glad it’s cancelled, it was a torture getting through each of this last season’s episodes.
So sad to see the only sitcom worth watching end. Without a real ending. I guess what can you expect from cbs
We loved this show! Why did it end?? The finale just left too many things hanging. So disappointed it’s over. 🙁
I’ve loved this show – so disappointed to see it end
Yes I would have definitely watched the 5th season and beyond. Don’t know why they cancel the good ones.
We loved this show from the very beginning and hate to see it end. I know people that are just now watching this series and are enjoying it too. Hopefully another network will be smart and pick this up.
I love this show! Very entertaining. I wish that it was NOT cancelled.
My whole family loved this show. It was like reading a book or short stories. Each one unique and interesting. The characters were hilarious and played perfectly with one another. I’m so surprised it’s been cancelled. Wish they would reconsider.
