What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
PLEASE do not cancel this hilarious show!
ABC we’re counting on you to pickup up Life in Pieces! Modern Family ends and this series could easily fit into that time slot. It should never have been on CBS. That is the worst network and they are notorious for ending series early, Mike &Molly, 2 Broke Girls, etc.
Please bring back this show! It’s one of the best that has come to television in a long time. I really hope another television network picks it up.
This show is hilarious!!! Please bring it back! It’s funnier than most other shows!!! They need to get the word out more about it!!!
Do not cancel this show! It’s my favorite on tv! Why why why????? Please some other channel pick this show up. Such quality acting and story lines. Great writing.
The most clever show to come along since Fraiser. The 4 quick story format never let the viewer get bored. Always left you wanting more. It was a full spectrum family, so, its appeal was broad. Good writing, good acting, pretty tasteful most of the time. No wonder network TV cancelled it. All human nature and no politically correct issues made it easy to just relax and enjoy…. bring it back !
I am heartbroken to lose this wonderfully funny show. I am becoming disenchanted with network tv when my favorites are cancelled. Why build a relationship with a show when they are cancelled while still in n their prime? Heartsick.
I was so shocked to learn I just watched the final episode of Life in Pieces! Best show on television. If CBS won’t bring it back, I hope Netflix picks it up.
Best CBS show ever! So disappointed they cancelled. I will no longer watch CBS.
Bring show back! It was such a funny show! I can’t understand why this show would be cancelled. One of the best shows on TV
One of the best shows EVER! FAMILY, AFFECTION, KINDNESS, DECENY, LOVE FOR OTHER HUMAN’S …oh yeah, that’s not politically correct. But call me a rebel, I would solider on with it.
No way this show should of been cancelled there are way worse shows on tv this one always made me laugh…..what a shame hey Netflix pick life in pieces up
Can’t believe this show is ending still had so much story to tell. Love this show bring it back!!!
