The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.

It is not fair to the other citizens of this country to pay a price of a few. America has lost its way in the last few months in trying to make a hand full of individuals happy. I don’t think it should have been cancelled they are being filmed all the time I’ve never seen them do anything wrong.
It’s shameful how they immediately turned their backs on the PD that they promoted as long as the ratings were good. They’re now lumped in with the people that are making martyrs out of criminals. Holding all cops responsible for one bad cop’s decisions is disgusting. These men and women put their lives online everyday for their communities.
I am so disappointed that my FAVORITE SHOW of ALL times has been taken off air. I do not agree with this and I am very upset about it. The officers on the show have displayed such good policing, community involvement, showing how they have worked with people.
Very very disappointed many people love live pd. Please bring it back
I will not be watching A&E. It is ridiculous that they cave from the things in this world. What happened to standing up for what is right? There are good officers and bad just like any other profession. Let them show the good that they do every day. That they put their lives on the line to save others. .
I pray for those officers and the people the deal with daily. Its not an easy job

Cacelling Live PD is a disgraced toward all the men and women dedicated to serve and to protect the people. It makes me SICK how wrong increases for what? To fall down. Cancelling is very, very dishonorable!!! This show is showing LIVE the truth of what police work truly is!!! That’s why they want it off the air. Because it will show the crap police officers have to endure daily!!!
I loved watching live PD it gives you an inside view of law enforcement and what they go through I come from a family of law enforcement and I think it was the wrong call to take the show off the air
It was a great show and the only show on worthy watching every episode. There are so many wonderful police officers, and they are being punished for the bad ones. It is not fair!! I learned a lot from that show and often wondered why they risk their lives everyday for all the crap the had to deal with.

Live PD showed the public what law enforcement go through. Cancelling this window into the in’s and outs of their work was a huge mistake. We need more shows like this not less.

If anything those shows showed the reality of what goes on daily. My opinion, I think having cameras there also helped the police and any citizens involved a little restaint and deescalated certain situations… Also showed the human side to Law Enforcement.. Maybe someday they can come back…

Big mistake to cancel these shows. This type of thinking shows how weak those in power really are. To cave under a little pressure is absurd. The restraint these officers show during confrontations is amazing, and more people really need to see their training in action. Live PD needs to be on the air. It shows the extensive training required of the officers, and the multitudes of criminals that are among us.
