The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.
What do you think? Do you watch Live PD Police Patrol? Do you think Sony made the right call?
I have deleted the A&E channel from my TV guide. I refuse to watch any program on a network that bows under to a select few as I am sure that millions of other viewers have done. I hope your network goes into bankruptcy
Why in the hell ,, Afraid we see that about how many real criminals and IDIOTS there is.
If they feel it necessary to cancel a show for NO REASON other than to keep people quiet, then I will stay quiet and boycott all of their channels/affiliate. For police, there are some good and there are a few bad, same with doctors, they say it is the same with politicians although I am still waiting to see a good one, same with actors, etc. We all need to accept that.
Will never watch A&E or anything by Sony Pictures again. Live PD should be reinstated. They have cameras rolling showing what’s happening. I am protesting also but most of us want transparency with cameras recording. A&E and Sony are not listening to us and are going in the wrong direction. Hear us and turn the cameras back on
You will never realize how many things you watch, daily, are produced by Sony or any.of its spin off companies.
Thanks for your support, I will never watch A&E Sony films…
Please bring the show back
I’m so sad. It’s like showing a beer Commercial and someone get drunk and kills someone are you going to take down the commercial? This weekend 25 people where shot in Chicago how come no one is complaining about that ? It must be ok then ?
Sony can kiss my ass. That was the best show on TV. I will now boycott them as well as a&e
I love Live PD and looked forward to watching the show on weekends with my family. I really and truly miss the show. Please bring it back.
Makes me furious that these networks have caved and taken away all shows that feature law enforcement, they’ve lost this viewer for sure.
Bring back live PD!!!!!. It was the absolute best show on TV. looked forward to every Friday and Saturday night… unbelievable. A & E your ratings are going to drop like a hot rock because I for one will not watch your channel again. Bunch of chicken *****!!! Bring it back!!!!!!
Favorite show on TV now gone !! Wtf we want the show back . Maybe another network will pick it up it was the best show on TV . And I believe was the number 1 show on television. Bring it back .
From the start of these shows myself, my family & are huge fans of Live PD, Live PD Wanted & Cops. It should be noted that Live PD as well as over 2 million fans. It’s absolutely ridiculous that these networks are canceling policing shows. We were given a look at what the police have to deal. I will be the first to admit that I was very uneducated on what Police have to deal with on a daily basis until the start of LIVE lif Live PD With so much negatively surrounding our country.. You would think that especially… Read more »
Nooooo. The police are the fine line between the chaos and society. We need them. We believe in them. And we all screw up. None of us are perfect. Were all humans. Give people a chance to mend our ways.
Stop being cowards and bring live PD back
Live pd is a very fair program. It showed tall aspects of the arrests. There is no brutality on this program. From my viewpoint everything was done fair and square. I’m sure the ppl wanting it cancelled are the ones who didn’t like the people portrayed in the program.
