The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.
What do you think? Do you watch Live PD Police Patrol? Do you think Sony made the right call?
No reason to cancel any of these shows. 99.9% of these shows, police are helping ALL races. I admire their courage, the way they talk to the people who’ve been arrested, try to help them understand what they have done wrong and how it will affect their lives if they continue. If those officers weren’t out there, and your family member was hurt/killed by another, no one out there to patrol and help. Lives are at stake! Think about it. A few bad cops don’t make them ALL BAD!!!! And there are many races in this world, not just one.… Read more »
I Really liked the show watch every episode. I do believe we have the right to know what going out there in our country. All lives matter. We need to be focused on every one. There are good and bad seeds in every race.
They made the wrong call. I will no longer watch anything on A&E.
Once we start caving to the sensitivities of others, there is no end
Absolutely the opposite of what should be happening in America. The show was a fair depiction on both law enforcement and the people they encountered daily. I will no longer watch that station. Sad how much censorship is occurring.
By cancelling this program does not help the current issue. However it’s making matters worse. All it tells me that the true colors of people do not want to be exposed. I will not be watching this channel again. Thanks for caving in on this BS issue but vandalising business it ok.
I am so damn mad!!! I look forward to watching every Friday and Saturday night. There is nothing wrong with letting the public watch what is really happening out there. The segments that help find missing children and find people on the run. That stuff is is GOLD!!!STUPID STUPID STUPID for cancelling! Just bureaucratic nonsense!!!!!!!!!
This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Big mistake! They will lose a lot of viewers! Get it together!
Live PD showed how police we’re professionals and we’re patient many situations. It’s sad that the station didn’t stand up for what is good and right.
We watch all those shows. It’s a shame people dislike seeing the truth of what the law enforcement agencies have to face daily. Get real corporate. It’s life
Its was a really good show and it was a cowardly decision to cancel it. Live PD was the only thing Sony didn’t fail at.
I am disgusted at all of this! I’m already boycotting A&E; I”lol add whomever else I need to that list
I think the show is great. It shows both sides of a situation, and helps people understand what is needed to keep things safe for all involved.
I look forward to watching it! It is REALITY. This show needs to stay on!
I watched Live PD faithfully, as well as their spinoffs and I felt they gave a fair view of the police and community interaction. Often times it showed very positive interactions between the police officers and the community. It also depicted how very difficult it could be to be a police officer. I think that taking the show off the air was a hasty decision and the wrong one. There wa a reason that it was the number one show in America. I hope they will rethink this decision in fairness to ALL the people. I learned a great deal… Read more »
