Lucifer has been a lead character on a handful of TV series over the years but the shows rarely last more than a season or two. How will Lucifer perform on FOX? Will the ratings be good or very bad? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Lucifer TV show, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, he’s enjoying his retirement while owning a nightclub. His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. He starts to have feelings of compassion for the first time in billions of years and ends up helping a homicide detective (Lauren German). The rest of the cast includes Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, D. B. Woodside, and Scarlett Estevez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/7 update: FOX has renewed Lucifer for a second season. Details here.
4/26 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I adore this show. its a winner for fox in particular and t.v. in general. it has to get a season 2
God didn’t kill Lucifer so don’t u dare!
Love this show! Look forward to Lucifer every Monday- great cast!! Please renew this show!!!!
I wasn’t sure if I should watch the show at first, but so glad I did. I like the fact he is seeing good and in turn is wanting to be good as well. These moms that want the show canceled should consider the fact it is the struggle that has been since the beginning of time. And on the show good is winning over evil. I haven’t missed an episode, and children could be watching a lot worse.
I like this show, it is very entertaining. I work 11 hours on Monday’s and really look forward to watching this show on Monday’s after I get home from work. Please don’t cancel this show.
Please renew this show. We love it.
All of you please stop watching this show. Watch something better that is on at the same time.
Please renew the show. If the moms are so concerned, maybe they should use parental controls. There’s a lot of scary stuff in the world that you can’t protect your kids from, I don’t think this show tops the list.
Please renew this show. It is so entertaining. My favorite new show
Fantastic show. Just binge watched on Hulu so hopefully that incremented the view count!
I like Lucifer. I think you have to give it a chance. At the beginning I didn’t like it. But as Lucifer evolves so do you.
I so love this show. I haven’t missed an episode yet and don’t intend too. I think it’s one of the best shows on TV so far. This show’s much more interesting than a lot of other shows I’ve seen on fox. There’s nothing evil about this show, and I think that it sends a very clear message that if even the prince of darkness can be redeemed, then so can humanity. The only reason that these religious zealots want this show to be canceled is so they can keep the delusion that they can control the lives of other… Read more »
PLEASE!!! Renew Lucifer!
Love love it. Renew it!
Can someone please make this Greg guy stop? I mean, we get it, you’re preaching hellfire and damnation for us sinful mortals that dare offend all that’s holy by watching this show. But apparently you’re doing it every 10 comments or so and this goes back several pages. I honestly do not get it. I’m no genius, but i think that by the time i was 5 i knew the difference between fiction and reality, a.k.a. TV show and real life. What is some people’s business what the rest of us chose to do or watch in our spare time?… Read more »
And this comment will make me fight harder to get this cancelled
=))))) good luck, lovey. one guy against dozens of millions world wide. i see success ahead of you. certainly posting comments about how it should be cancelled helps your cause to an impressive degree. now everyone will no doubt eagerly listen to your words of infinite wisdom and run to obey your wish faster than you could blink.
It’s a TV show OMG Instead of sh@tting all over a TV series why not fight against pornography, prostitution, animal cruelty etc.?! I’m getting tired of self-righteous tw@ts like you. Now on topic: I have doubts they will renew the show. I like it but this cop procedural theme that many people have complained about is indeed the biggest crack in the show’s otherwise solid premise. The lead characters are great but looking at the steady decline of viewers with each and every episode (for episode 9 there are almost 1/2 of what was for the Pilot) I’m thinking that… Read more »
Great show, very entertaining. And I’m over 40, we count too. Please a bit of humor is greatly needed in this all to depressing times.
Debra, I wish I could give you 40 thumbs ups because I’m over 40 and most of my friends are late 40-‘s to mid 50’s and we love the show too!!
Greg, one of the things I like about Lucifer is that it shows that God, as the true Parent that He is, is watching Lucifer learn and grow from his experiences. Far from being threatened by Lucifer trying new things, of which God may not approve, He is allowing Lucifer to have these experiences, and He is watching as, episode by episode, Lucifer learns more about himself and hopefully about his relationship to his Father. Just this evening, we see Lucifer baffled by the parent-child relationships he sees around him, and although he claims to be unable to relate his… Read more »
Greg, this is a story about redemption and serious theological issues are addressed but we are not hit on the head with a sledge hammer. Throughout the episodes we have seen a slow progress in Lucifer’s journey towards returning to what his name means. We also see Lucifer in “Pops” reject Chloe’s advances although he has been pursuing her since episode 1. The Lucifer in Episode 1 wouldn’t have had any qualms. We also have Lucifer beginning to see glimmerings that the plan for him is not yet finished. This is the first episode where Lucifer asks his father for… Read more »
Greg get over yourself. It’s a TV show not real. Stop being a fanatic. There is more violence in the Bible (the wrath of God and all that) than on Lucifer. I would never let my children watch shows like the Bible or the Passion of Christ because of the violence and it is portrayed as historical. Lucifer is an entertaining action show that is fun. I hope Fox will renew it.
