Lucifer fans may be in luck. According to Deadline, Netflix is considering a possible sixth season for the TV show.
The comedy-drama series centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) crack cases. The cast also includes DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez.
Last year, Netflix announced Lucifer would return for a fifth and final season in 2020. However, it now seems season five may not be the end after all. According to Deadline, the streaming service is in talks with Lucifer EPs Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson for a sixth season. Nothing official has been announced yet, but Deadline says sources are “optimistic” for another season.

Yes, a sixth season at least. The show is so much better on Netflix. It’s grittier. It can go places network tv can’t and we fans are drawn deeper into the story.
Yes I’d be into it. Supernatural is ending so I need something to watch and this being based on Gaimans Sandman and then Sandman actually also in the works well I’m totally into it, as long as they don’t screw it up!

Would LOVE more Lucifer! Such an excellent, well made show. Funny, serious, touching, bawdy, action, with many underlying interesting religious and moral undertones. The acting is outstanding and I am obsessed with this show! Keep it coming Netflix-thanks!

Every article talking about this can be traced back to ONE TVLine article and it’s essentially copy and paste from there an “unnamed source” from TVline says that Netflix was discussing the future of Lucifer.
