TV show description:
A supernatural drama based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, the Midnight, Texas TV show plays out in a community which is located on the very veil between Earth and Hell. The story centers on the locals — human or otherwise — who populate this small town.
A charismatic man with a sarcastic wit and remarkable abilities, Manfred Bernardo (Arnaud) is a psychic medium who finds refuge in Midnight. He has built a circle of both human and supernatural allies. He routinely communicates with his deceased grandmother, Xylda (Camp).
Bobo Winthrop (Bruce) owns the local pawnshop. Although his past is shrouded in secrecy, Bobo is loyal to his neighbors, both human and supernatural.
A witch, Fiji Cavanaugh (Fitz-Henley) owns The Inquiring Mind, a Wiccan shop. She adores Mr. Snuggly (Joe Smith), her snarky cat, and carries a torch for Bobo.
Despite her name, which might lead people to believe she is harmless, Olivia Charity (Kebbel) is an assassin skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Her weapons collection is vast.
Olivia is deeply connected to Lemuel Bridger (Mensah), a sage and powerful vampire. He covers the night shift at Bobo’s shop, and is one of Midnight’s senior residents.
Joe Strong (Lewis) is an angel who has been on earth for thousands of years, and lives in Midnight with his husband, Chuy (Bernardo Saracino). Joe’s neighbors don’t realize he is an angel. He bides his time, just waiting for “the One” who can save Midnight from an extremely evil threat.
An aspiring writer involved with Manfred, Creek Lovell (Ramos) has some big ambitions. Her father, Shawn (Jesser), is overly protective of her, and her younger brother, Connor (John-Paul Howard). Creek is shocked when she learns her family’s secret.
Meanwhile, the reticent Reverend Emilio Sheehan (Vázquez) disappears each month, thanks to the full moon. Normally, though, he busies himself at the Midnight Chapel and Pet Cemetery.
The remote Texas town serves as a haven for those who need to hide from the world at large. The townies have come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.
In Midnight, nothing is what it seems. Here, only outsiders belong, and normality is just plain weird.
Series Finale:
Episode #22 — Yasss, Queen
With dark witches ruling Midnight — now known as Patience, Texas — the surviving Midnighters must band together in one final, desperate attempt to save their town.
First aired: December 28, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Midnight, Texas TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Love Midnight! Please get USA or other channel to pick up!
Love the show. Please don’t cancel.
We simply love Midnight, Texas!! The possibilities for story lines are endless. It should never have been cancelled!!!!
Please don’t cancel Midnight Texas!
Love the show! Should have figured they would cancel it!
I loved this show and had been waiting on the next season only to find out it has been cancelled. Seems like all of the good, original shows are always cancelled over the same old B.S. shows. Please reconsider another season, or at least I hope someone else would consider picking it up.
Don’t cancel this show! It’s fun and I enjoy watching it!
Its a great show! I only have about 5 shows I watch a week and this is one of them. If CBS doesn’t want it send it off to Netflix
I love this show and want more of it. Please rethink this.
best show i have seen in awhile i really hope it comes back
We both love this show! Hope someone else will pick it up! So disappointed!
I would like to see another network pick it up. I looked forward to watch it every week!
Everyone I know watches it.
GREAT STORY LINE
NBC seems to keep crap shows and CANCEL the good ones!
Very disappointed in NBC
We loved this series, it is a lot like supernatural and look how long that one has been popular. All the elements shows of this genre needs are here with the core group of characters. Why do the networks cancel anything interesting that comes along and adds in another murder detection shows (dateline/20/20) or talk show. they resurrect old shows but cancel new refreshing and interesting shows like this? Wake up and give us what we like to watch – we obviously are not in Nielson homes – so our viewing preferences doe not seem to matter.
I read the books and I love the series. Seems like they cancel any popular series, what are they going to put in it’s place another 20/20 or talk show ? Think I am only going to watch netflix.hulu. or prime.
No it shouldn’t have been canceled. I put Midnight Texas in the same catagory as Supernatural. I had to search til I found this page cause I wanted to see what happened to it. I really started looking forward to watching Midnight Texas & hope it comes back real soon.
