TV show description:
A supernatural drama based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, the Midnight, Texas TV show plays out in a community which is located on the very veil between Earth and Hell. The story centers on the locals — human or otherwise — who populate this small town.
A charismatic man with a sarcastic wit and remarkable abilities, Manfred Bernardo (Arnaud) is a psychic medium who finds refuge in Midnight. He has built a circle of both human and supernatural allies. He routinely communicates with his deceased grandmother, Xylda (Camp).
Bobo Winthrop (Bruce) owns the local pawnshop. Although his past is shrouded in secrecy, Bobo is loyal to his neighbors, both human and supernatural.
A witch, Fiji Cavanaugh (Fitz-Henley) owns The Inquiring Mind, a Wiccan shop. She adores Mr. Snuggly (Joe Smith), her snarky cat, and carries a torch for Bobo.
Despite her name, which might lead people to believe she is harmless, Olivia Charity (Kebbel) is an assassin skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Her weapons collection is vast.
Olivia is deeply connected to Lemuel Bridger (Mensah), a sage and powerful vampire. He covers the night shift at Bobo’s shop, and is one of Midnight’s senior residents.
Joe Strong (Lewis) is an angel who has been on earth for thousands of years, and lives in Midnight with his husband, Chuy (Bernardo Saracino). Joe’s neighbors don’t realize he is an angel. He bides his time, just waiting for “the One” who can save Midnight from an extremely evil threat.
An aspiring writer involved with Manfred, Creek Lovell (Ramos) has some big ambitions. Her father, Shawn (Jesser), is overly protective of her, and her younger brother, Connor (John-Paul Howard). Creek is shocked when she learns her family’s secret.
Meanwhile, the reticent Reverend Emilio Sheehan (Vázquez) disappears each month, thanks to the full moon. Normally, though, he busies himself at the Midnight Chapel and Pet Cemetery.
The remote Texas town serves as a haven for those who need to hide from the world at large. The townies have come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.
In Midnight, nothing is what it seems. Here, only outsiders belong, and normality is just plain weird.
Series Finale:
Episode #22 — Yasss, Queen
With dark witches ruling Midnight — now known as Patience, Texas — the surviving Midnighters must band together in one final, desperate attempt to save their town.
First aired: December 28, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Midnight, Texas TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Netflix is the only real hope. The old 3 would not know a good show. Let’s start a campaign to Netflix to pick up Midnight Texas
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!!! Why cancel it?? I
I know there was a large following of others who enjoyed it as well! I HATE to hear that it was canceled because I’ve been waiting for the new season! Now I’m BUMMED!!
I really enjoyed this show. I hate to learn it has been canceled. All the shows I really enjoy get canceled. This pisses me off!!
Every time you get into a good show the would be in charge cancel the best ones and keep the trash so they don’t get me to watch there yet work!
They need to continue the show. Very good show, will be upset if they don’t.
I really hope netflix or hulu or someone picks this show up. It was awesome and the characters were great! I wish these numb nut execs at these big networks would quit cancelling the good shows…
Would love to see it renewed – watched every show – characters were awesome!
I really wish the would have done another season of Midnight, Texas. It was an awesome show. It sure seems like there has been ALOT of TV shows that only had 1 or 2 seasons (and they were really good) and then they were cancelled
Everytime there is a Good Tv Show you Idiots Cancel this is why im not watching NBC CBS Or NBC
I watched Midnight, Texas every week I loved it watched all episodes again . why is it that NBC always cancels the great shows?
I ask the same question
Midnight texas was one of the few shows that I actually looked forward to every week. And now some corporate lackey dumped it for who knows why! Why do you always cancell the great shows and force feed us crap shows, bigger bribes? Obviously your programing dept is on the take or is easily swayed with babbles and trinkets. One of the most inovative and creative shows to hit the waves in many years, did it not fit within the corporate delusion of what the public wants? Try asking us, the veiwers next time, before making such a huge mistake!!… Read more »
I know they should bring it back . I agree I don’t know who telling them what the people watch but they are wrong
I am so very fed-up with the major networks dumping interesting, thought provoking or just plain entertaining programs. Advertisers are just as much to blame. It seems it a program does not consistently rate in the top 10 companies will not buy time for their ads. So the network cancels the show and moved on. Yet, they want the viewers loyalty. It is not surprising then, that internet streaming is becoming so popular.
Another bad big wig decision about an awesome TV show, they need to quit making more cop and lawyer shows, I don’t know how they come to those decisions!! STUPID!!!
Agreed, someone with brains please pick up Midnight Texas, Netflix anyone??? Great show, deserves more than 2 seasons. Every time a great show comes up, the idiots at these networks cancel them.
Please, please someone, maybe Netflix or Hulu pick up Midnight Texas!!!!!!!
