TV show description:
Created in part by Chuck Lorre, this sitcom’s story follows an obese couple living in Chicago who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. She’s comfortable with the way she is, but he’d like to lose a little.
Officer Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell) has a good heart and really wants to shed the extra pounds. His thin partner, Officer Carl McMillan (Reno Wilson), seems to be the opposite. He’s always teasing Mike but underneath it all, Carl’s encouraging to him. They frequent a diner with a Senegalese waiter, Samuel (Nyambi Nyambi), who has no concept about dieting at all.
Molly Flynn (Melissa McCarthy) is a fourth-grade teacher who’d like to be comfortable with her curvy body. Her sister Victoria (Katy Mixon) and mother Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz) both have it so much easier. They have great figures that they don’t seem to have to work for and pay no mind about eating right in front of her.
Mike speaks up at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting and meets Molly after his speech. Neither came there looking for love, but they’re also not going to turn it down if they can find it. Mike and Molly are willing to try it and see if they can make it work.
Episode #127 — I See Love
Mike and Molly gather with family and friends for a momentous occasion and reminisce about everything that led to this point.
First aired: May 16, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Mike & Molly TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season?
Best comedy show since I Love Lucy; it should not be cancelled. Writing and acting is one of the best on TV.
Mike and Molly should not be cancel. Best show on CBS in a long time (best comedy ever).
All of the above are right. This was one of my favorite shows. I have all of them recorded or on DVD. Please let another network take it over.
Mike & Molly is one of the funniest comedies on TV. It has a perfect cast and the writers are amazing. It should be renewed for a seventh season.
Billy and Melissa keep losing weight. Do it for your loved ones and for a longer life. Forget about those who don’t care about your health. Your fans do care. We love you and wish you Gods blessings forever.
“Mike & Molly” was comedy at its best with a dynamic ensemble. If CBS doesn’t have the wisdom to renew it for a seventh season while it retains other lower-rated shows, another network should pick it up. I’ll be turning off CBS except for “The Big Bang Theory.”
I agree with you Ken! Only two shows that were very funny, great writing and wonderful acting on CBS is “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike and Molly.” Now only The Big Bang Theory is what I will be watching. The rest of the shows on CBS you can forget about!
This show was one of the best on the air. Bad decision cancelling. Maybe another network will make a smart move and pick it up
Please don’t take off the air. Very funny.
That is ridiculous that a person wants to lose weight for her health, and her boss uses that against her and cancels the show. They are making a mistake by cancelling this great show.
This is totally wrong. What message are they sending. They could have wrote the story around her weight loss. Isn’t that how the characters met in the first place, trying to lose weight. Doesn’t are sense to me. They made a big mistake..
I think it should stay for sure. Why would you want to cancel it?
Please bring it back! Love the show and actors!
Mike & Molly is a refreshing story about normal people, the two main characters a decent and loving couple navigating their marriage and personal lives while maintaining strong family and friend connections. Funny, yet poignant, the show’s cancellation was totally unexpected and a huge disappointment — and I venture, unwarranted. Why cancel such a popular, well-loved program? Must be some political “thing,” is my guess!! BRING IT BACK!!
Please do not cancel this show. It is the only sit com that I watch, Most others including the moronic reality shows are awful. This show has a perfect cast, each character makes it their own. You rarely find a show that that gives you such chemistery. Please reconsider cancelling this show.
I would love to see this show renewed and renewed again. It is refreshing to see a tv show that depicts regular people with life messes with a funny spin. It is real entertainment for real people to enjoy. Please, don’t take it away from us. I watch the reruns again and again and never tire of them. The entire cast is amazingly talented and a joy to watch.
This is so sad, i am hurt, I really enjoyed this show i’ve never laugh so hard. I love it ,its clean , no killing sex .. i loved it . with you guys taking it off air only pushing people to look for them on netflix, or own net work
