A couple weeks ago, FOX decided to cut the episode order for the first season of Minority Report from 13 to 10 episodes. So, has the show been cancelled?
Set in Washington D.C. 2065, Minority Report follows Lara Vega (Meagan Good), a homicide detective who becomes connected with Dash (Stark Sands). He’s a psychic “precog” who’s haunted by images of future crimes and is on a mission to stop them from happening. The rest of the cast includes Nick Zano, Laura Regan, Wilmer Valderrama, Daniel London, Li Jun Li, Zhane Hall, and Tina Lifford.
The series debuted on September 21st to a 1.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.1 million viewers. That was a very disappointing debut, especially for a high profile series that was given a lot of promotion from the network. The ratings dropped nearly 20% in week two and then fell about the same amount again in week three.
They evened off in week four but last Monday’s installment hit another new low — falling to an embarrassing 0.58 in the demo with just 1.82 million.
With such terrible ratings, there’s no chance that the network will be considering ordering a second season. At this point, with ratings this low, it’s very possible FOX execs will pull Minority Report off the schedule earlier than planned. At the moment, there’s only one more episode on the schedule.
While the network has not officially admitted that Minority Report has been cancelled (there’s no benefit for them to do so), it surely has been. Production is wrapping with episode 10 and no further episodes will be ordered.

I just got a chance to check out the show on Hulu and wishing it would keep going.. I guess the problem is not enough si-fi ppl know/knew about the show or it would have exploded in ratings

I normally didn’t watch fox television but once I saw the first show my family and I were hooked. We faithfully watched the show until the end. I even began watching other shows on the fox network. We need diversity in television in order to appeal to the likes of many viewers and this show appealed to many sci-if viewers. Please bring it back!!!!!!

Do not cancel because of rating. It is a great show, give the minority of your viewers what they like.
This is an extraordinary show. It’s a great prime time Sci – Fi action show with an amazing cast, very little overly graphic violence, and a cool story line. Keep the show on T.V…. Please!
I thought this was an interesting show. It was one of very few my husband and I actually made time to watch. I just appreciate something different from most of the other shows on tv. Yes, I’m aware it’s an adaptation from a movie but I still enjoyed it.

RENEWED: Great SCI-police Drama with the interesting twist of the pre-cogs. Well done, excellent stories. MOVE OVER LAW AND ORDER and CSI: they are dated.
Should be advertised better. And no blood. And cuts. Can watch with teenage daughter or son.
I think the show Minority Report is a great show that they should give it another chance I don’t know why it’s getting bad reviews because there nothing bad about that show the movie was great and they just pick up were it ended at witch I think is great there is a lot of great movies that you always wonder ok what happens to them now.Maybe it ain’t getting good reviews because nobody saw the movie that you should of started the first episode off with the movie.
Please bring back the show I really love it….don’t want it to get cancel…
I just watched on demand the 2015 shows all of them this week end. Please bring this show back but it would do better if you move the show from Monday night this was a wrong day of the week. I loved all the shows . You must bring it back if you do I and other will help put the word out about the excellent written show the actor were great and the story was great easy to follow with the hope of seeing more Meagan Good and her cast are great actors. Please bring Minority Report back, my husband and I love this show, we didn’t think that there was anything wrong with it you made a great show, please give it a second chance PLEASE don’t cancel it.
