What’s This TV Show About?
A CMT country music drama, Nashville stars Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, Jonathan Jackson, Lennon Stella, and Maisy Stella. In season six, although Reyna James (Connie Britton) is gone, the music plays on. Juliette is still battling her depression, while Avery (Jackson) wants to figure out what comes next. Meanwhile, Deacon (Estes) and the girls attempt to make a life without Reyna, as Scarlett (Bowen) and Gunnar (Palladio) try to succeed as solo-artists.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Nashville averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 742,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 24% in the demo and down by 9% in viewers. Find out how Nashville stacks up against the other CMT TV shows (though they’ve all been cancelled).
On November 17, 2017, CMT announced Nashville would end with the sixth season. The finale aired July 26, 2018. Could it come back some day? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Because CMT announced it was ending ahead of time, fans don’t have to spend the sixth season wondering if CMT will cancel or renew Nashville for season seven. Since ABC cancelled it after four seasons, and Connie Britton left midway through the fifth, season six seems like a bit of a bonus — at least to this famished television vulture. Because I’m truly sorry for those fans who wish it would continue, I plan to treat seasons five and six as my dessert course. Hope this show will not be cancelled, it touch so many people into theirs private life. On certain situation in the show, I was telling myself : Gosh am not alone…and plus it make us understand the background of the country music.
Nashville was one of the best shows on tv a lot of viewers will be very disappointed if it stays canceled please bring it back.

I hate it that Rayna is gone. I loved to see her on the show and singing. I love to hear all of them singing and the song writers for the songs they sing are great. Please don’t cancel the show!!!
I heard that “Nashville” was cancelled again due to the fact that CMT is going to be shifting away from scripted series. Instead, they will focus on unscripted material, which apparently will save them and their parent company Viacom more money. Such a shame as this show was always pretty enjoyable, even without Connie Britton.
If you don’t want Nashville cancelled you need to write the network. It won’t help on here Im afraid. Nonetheless I wish they would keep it too. I love the show. But they announced Fall of 2017 it was ending so not sure anything will change that. I would love to see it continue. Its a great show and I enjoy seeing what is happening with Rayna’s girls I just love both of these young singers voices.

Please do not cancel Nashville! I like it even better without Rayna. I love the interaction between Deacon and the girls much more, and now they can triumph on their own. So much more can happen and I hope there will be several more seasons to explore their accomplishments.

Please don’t cancel Nashville I feel it’s a very good show it covers all important aspects of life it seems like every time they have good shows on they keep cancelling them and keeping really bad shows on

Hope Nashville isn’t canceled. Even w/o Reena (Britton) it can still continue. Maudie , Scarlet, Deacon,Avery & Juliette can carry the show for @ least another season.
