Last season, many fans were concerned when CBS execs moved NCIS: Los Angeles to Monday nights. The ratings dropped by more than 34% but the network still renewed the series for a seventh season. How will it perform this time around? Will it be renewed for an eighth season or, is this the year that it’s cancelled? Stay tuned.
Based in the City of Angels, NCIS: Los Angeles follows the members of an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), one that specializes in undercover assignments. This drama stars LL Cool J, Chris O’Donnell, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Barrett Foa, Renée Felice Smith, and Miguel Ferrer.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/25 update: CBS has renewed this series and 10 others for the 2016-17 season. Details here.
5/3 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
For comparisons: The sixth season of NCIS: Los Angeles averaged a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.28 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the NCIS: Los Angeles TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for an eighth season?
Renew
i like this show but the last few episodes have gotten a lil dry and that old fire that kept you at the edge of your seat is starting to die out. I use to be excited about NCIS: LA. Now its just a meh feeling. The show is getting boring and predictable. Maybe they should do a cross-over with NCIS: New Orleans to spice the show up.
Pleeeaase don’t cancel this show! I love it. I’m not sure how streaming TV effects the ratings (that’s what I do) but I will be very sad to see it go if it does effect the ratings… maybe even enough to pay for cable again.
I love NCIS Los Angeles!! It is 10 times better than NCIS New Orleans. Move it back to Tues following NCIS, where it was to begin with!!!

This show’s rating would increase significantly if CBS would LISTEN to the show’s fans and move it back to Tuesday’s. After NCIS and BEFORE NCIS New Orleans.
