What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Night Shift stars Robert Bailey Jr., Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Brendan Fehr, Scott Wolf, Tanaya Beatty, and JR Lemon, with Mark Consuelos recurring in season four. Although they’re kind of quirky, San Antonio Memorial’s emergency room night shift staff is extraordinary. They’ll risk almost anything to save their patients. Season three ended with Paul Cummings (Bailey) leading a staff walk-out after his father bought the hospital and fired Topher. Meanwhile, overseas, TC Callahan (Macken) was knocked out, during a refugee camp bombing. The fourth season picks up two days later, with everyone dealing with the consequences of their decisions. In Syria, TC’s proclivity for chaos helps him save people.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of The Night Shift averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.96 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 32% and down by 21%, respectively. Find out how The Night Shift stacks up against other NBC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Although season four premiered with much lower numbers than last season, it is still a bit too early to use the ratings to predict whether NBC will cancel or renew The Night Shift for season five. That said, this show’s audience has declined from year to year, particularly in its demo ratings. While I haven’t left my perch, my interest and appetite are piqued. I don’t understand how you can cancel a show that we love and enjoy watching. Just because you don’t think no ones watching trust we all are. What happens when TC finds out about his sister. Will TC and Jordon get back together. How will the program do. It’s alot of questions that has to be answered and you just end this episode like this I don’t think so. We need more. If NBC can’t handle the show some other network need to pick it up then.
Please bring back The Night Shift it is a great show I can’t believe NBC would cancel it. Its Right up there with ER, M.A.S.H., you get a really good show and then they cancel it.
They should have not cancelled the show at all. It is extremely upsetting! Being a huge fan and knowing many others that were also, this was a big mistake on the networks part! There are still so many unanswered questions in the show. Will TC find about Annie’s death? What will happen between Jordan and tc, will Paul be ok over in Syria, etc? This really sucks. And I am sorry but the last episode was not a good ending to end the show. Very disappointed.
Just watched this series on Netflix and loved it. I can’t believe that’s how it ended. We need more!!
This was the best show I have seen in many, many years. I laughed, I cried, I screamed at people. I could not wait to get off work each day to come home and watch it. PLEASE EASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK

I have watched almost ever doctor ER show there is this is definitely one of the best i think its madness you canceled a show you left no time to see if it was going ro get the ratings i love this show it ended in the worst way there needs to be more seasons
Please dont stop it where it ended. It is a great show. It is inspiring and educational and want to know and see more. Why stop or cancel it?

They need to bring back season five, I love this show and it’s not fair to those that watch it because it’s about giving back to those in need. It’s like everyday life. NIGHT SHIFT is one of my favorite show please bring back.
why do they always cancel the good shows!!! This is why i refuse to pay for tv when they cancel everything good and keep **** shows. Maybe Netflix will pick it up and make the 5th season..
I agree. I love this show and I just hope someone picks it back up. I know this probably doesn’t go for any people but I have watched ER and Grey’s Anatomy and I LOVE this show so much more!!! I really hope someone will make a season 5 and many more after that!!!
This is seriously the best show ever and I’m soooooo mad there’s no season 5…. They could do so much more with this show because of how it ended!!! They can make so many more awesome seasons!! Ugh I’m so mad! I hope someone brings this back!!!
