Say goodbye to Oscar and Felix. The Odd Couple TV show has been cancelled. There will be no season four of the CBS sitcom reboot. Deadline has confirmed the cancellation.
The Odd Couple centers on two former college pals, slobby sportswriter Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) the uptight Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon), a photographer and neatnik. Lindsay Sloane, Wendell Pierce, and Yvette Nicole Brown round out the CBS sitcom’s cast.
The Odd Couple: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of The Odd Couple averaged a 1.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.99 million viewers. Compared to season two, the show was down by 27% and 26%, respectively. It was outperformed by most CBS TV shows, so the renewal does not come as a surprise.
Last month, Perry said he assumed the Neil Simon adaptation was over, because the stage door had been painted over, which is not the nicest way to break cancellation news.

Perry should have played Felix. Poor costars,,,,, excessive laugh tract disruptive. It’s disappointing it’s over. Need to see Perry in a well written romantic comedy, movie or tv series.
Loved the show. The networks keep canceling all the good Odd Couple on CBS, Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken on ABC. No wonder people are watching internet shows.
It was a great show CBS should have cancelled it . Probably did bad 3rd season cuz they kept moving it . They should not have done that.

We really enjoyed the show and hope it will be back this year.
We really enjoyed the show all the cast and the relationship between Oscar and Felix was funny. And the other cast member were also fun. We liked the swho very much and was hoping it would return.
Writing was bad, Perry looked like he was lost. Lennon was good, cast was OK but Perry came off as a stuffed shirt. Sports talk Radio is fun he made it look like a chore. Like taking out the garbage, which NBC did!
Can’t believe this dung lasted three seasons.
This was a show that was beneath the talents of all the actors involved. At least now they can focus on other things.

I love both Perry and Lennon, but this was a terrible show. RIP at last.
