What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Orville stars Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Halston Sage, J Lee, and Mark Jackson. The sci-fi action-adventure series centers on Captain Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane), of The U.S.S. Orville, and First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki) — his ex-wife. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, the human and alien crew still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Orville averaged a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.16 million viewers. Compared to season one, that is down by 40% and 27%, respectively. Find out how The Orville stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.
The Orville has been renewed for a third season. However, the series is moving to Hulu. Season three will debut on June 2, 2022. Stay tuned for further updates.

Will The Orville be cancelled or renewed for season three? Right now, it is too soon to judge by the ratings, but I am sure FOX will pick up another installment, because it has been approved to receive California tax incentives for a third season. Remember, entertainment aside, television is a numbers game, and the most important numbers involve money. Still, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with any breaking developments. this show is ABSOLUTELY awesome! I think this is hilarious – not to mention Seth Mcfarlane is a pretty f-n funny guy -I would binge watch anything he made including the orville

I have watched every available episode of The Orville, both season one and two, and I absolutely love this show. Each episode is a gem. I am so happy that it has been renewed for a third season. Thank you Seth MacFarlane and Fox.

The Orville is the closest we’ll get to having a true STAR TREK again! ST:Discovery just sucks. Brannon Braga has been involved with a lot of star trek and he’s bringing the feel to the orville and season 2 shows that. Give it 2 more seasons. Seth is doing a great job at flushing out the characters and not hogging all the camera time, like other star treks did with just the command crew always in scenes. After they removed Star Trek, there was Star Gate, after STARGATE, STAR WAR’S, Then THE ORVILLE. I know not in the correct order. But DARN IT I LOVE THESE TB SHOW’S.
AND DOCTOR HOUSE, AND KNIGHT RYDER, MAD MAX, I LOVE ALL SIFY TV SHOW’S
