What’s next for the Peaky Blinders gang? According to Metro UK, series creator Steven Knight wants another season and more for the BBC series.
The historical drama stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the head of a Birmingham gang in the early 20th century. The series also stars Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, and Annabelle Wallis.
In the interview, Murphy said playing Tommy is both a “luxury” and “exhausting”:
It’s a real gift to be given a character like this, to be able to explore over 18 hours. It’s a real luxury. I quite enjoy those characters where you have to travel quite a distance from yourself to get to. It’s an incredibly exhausting character to play. you never see him sleep or eat. He’s always on, there’s always something happening.”
Later, Knight said he wants to see the series reach World War II. Season three of Peaky Blinders premieres on BBC Two on May 5th.
