The Suits TV show was a big success for USA Network and ran for many seasons. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Pearson spin-off series. After a disappointing run, the show has been cancelled so there won’t be a second season in 2020.
A legal and political drama, Pearson stars Gina Torres, Morgan Spector, Bethany Joy Lenz, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, Isabel Arraiza, and Chantel Riley, DB Woodside, and Betsy Brandt. The Suits spin-off centers on Jessica Pearson (Torres) who, after being disbarred, left New York City for the rough and tumble world of Chicago politics. Now she serves as the fixer for the Windy City’s working-class Mayor Bobby Novak (Spector), who is up for reelection. Jessica is just trying to reconcile her competitive nature and desire to win with her goal of doing the right thing.
The first season of Pearson averaged a meager 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 513,000 viewers. Of the nine recent scripted series on USA Network, Pearson ranks last in the demo and in eighth place in viewers (just above Mr. Robot, which is ending). The 10th and (now) final episode of Pearson aired on September 18th.

I liked Pearson, it got better as it went on too. a shame they are cancelling it.

I enjoyed the show. Sad to see it go. But i love all shows about legal drama.
Episodes of Pearson made me wonder if Chicago is a city lacking in natural sunlight or light bulbs. In comparison to Suits, where the majority of scenes were vibrant and bright, Pearson’s sets were almost always dark and monochromatic. Even though I am a big fan of the character Jessica Pearson, I found the episodes difficult to watch and depressing.
I really enjoyed this show and so did many of my friends. I don’t understand why it’s being canceled
Networks need to change the way they rate shows. Seems they cancel many good ones and leave too many garbage and simple shows in their lineup. Very disappointing.
WHAT A SHAME FINISH WITH PEARSON, I LOVE GINA TORRES AND SHE IS AMAZING ACTRESS, THE HISTORY ABOUT PEARSON WAS FANTASTIC TOO, SHAME THE TV DON’T HAVE THE SAME VIEW, I AM VERY DISAPPOINT FOR SURE.
sorry to see the show go it was a great show and great cast….the bad shows they leave and the good ones they take out..we are going to miss it

Sorry to see Pearson canceled. My husband and I did enjoy the show. This was one of the better shows with a great cast. This is a shame!!!!

I’m very disappointed with Pearson canceling. I thought the first season should have had more episodes. I was looking forward to the 2 season. I hope the USA network change their mind or another network pick Pearson up.
