ION Television doesn’t run a lot of original programming, so this is our first time tracking the ratings for one of their TV series. Although the Private Eyes TV show first premiered on Canada’s Global Television — which has already renewed it for a third installment of 13 episodes — ION picked up the first season in March of 2017. Now that it’s finally made it to air, can it attract a US audience? Will Private Eyes be cancelled or renewed for season two on ION? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A comedy-drama based on the G.B Joyce novel, The Code, Private Eyes stars Jason Priestly, Cindy Sampson, Ennis Esmer, Barry Flatman, Jordyn Negri, Clé and Bennett. The ION series centers on former professional hockey player Matt Shade (Priestly), who first teams up with formidable P.I. Angie Everett (Sampson), to solve the mystery of why a top hockey prospect dropped on the ice. Although they’re both fierce competitors who have different outlooks on life, Angie and Matt soon find that together, they form an unbeatable partnership.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available. Refresh to see the latest.

This show appears to promote and condone illegal activity. I have watched three episodes in which Angie, the leading female, failed to report illegal activity. Probably a petty reason not to watch the show but with the worlds crime rate……
Really good light hearted show, nice change of pace to most other shows out there that focus on detectives/cops. Everett and Shadow have great chemistry together.
What lame brained sad excuse for a writer composed a plot that was designed to convince any reader with a bit of sense in their head that these two so-called private detectives were even tolerably credible. Talk about blatant stupidity. Angie falling for that line of crap and that stupid job of acting and Shade getting suckered in by someone who claimed to be related to someone he hasn’t seen in 15 years. Complete garbage. Definitely does not deserve another season. Give us some credit for intelligent viewing. Even for a so-so summer replacement this show stunk to high heaven.
Keep private eyes on the air, do not cancel.

Great Show! Brings back memories of my 80’s childhood and my 90’s teenage years. Presley was always my heart throb on 90210. Keep going… I binged watched the first season!
I think that the TV show ” Private Eyes” should not return for season 2. It is very very boring with mediocre acting.
We watch the show every week and love it.

I hope this reboot of “Moonlighting” is renewed; Cindy Sampson is awesome eye candy and Toronto looks great on screen.
