Airing on Friday nights, Proven Innocent stars Rachelle Lefevre, Kelsey Grammer, Russell Hornsby, Vincent Kartheiser, Nikki M. James, Riley Smith, and Clare O’Connor. The series centers on Madeline Scott (Lefevre), a resolute lawyer on a lifelong quest for justice. When she was just 18, Madeline was wrongfully convicted of murder, along with her brother, Levi (Smith). Now she and her partner (and former defense attorney), Easy Boudreau (Hornsby), lead an underdog defense team, dedicated to overturning unjust convictions. Meanwhile, Gore Bellows (Grammer), the prosecutor who once put her away, is determined to return her to prison.
The first season of Proven Innocent on FOX averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.01 million viewers. Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Proven Innocent ranks 16th of 16 scripted series.

I loved the show. I would count the days down until it came on again. I do not like law and order and other shows like this. But Proven unit Innocent was different . It was about helping people who had no one to believe them. But still there are some people in this world that still care. Now this is the second new Fox show that I watch that is being cancelled! I am so disappointed, angry, ticked…you get the point!
This was a great show – I looked forward to it each week. Maybe mid-week would have been a better time slot for it. People often go out on Friday nights so any show that starts on a Friday is apt to fail for that reason alone!
Fox – please give us one more season!!!!! I’m also missing The Passage on Fox! Bummer!
Shame on you Fox. Bring this good show back. How about axing some of the reality crap you throw on the air that real people couldn’t care less about.

I really enjoyed Proven Innocent. Real sorry it wasn’t renewed.
I am sorry Proven Innocent was cancelled, however, I was conflicted about it. I liked it, but I taped the last four and I haven’t watched them yet so maybe I don’t like it that much?? I appreciated Madeline’s tenacity, however she was a little over the top and that whole relationship thing with her ex-cell mate……. I thought was too much.
You will like the last episodes! I tape just to make sure I don’t miss it. Then I recommend it and friends can catch up because I save the original shows.
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the relationship thing … a bit much! I think it isn’t necessary for a main character.
They did the same thing on Netflix’s series “How to get away with Murder” but that show is on Netflix and just finished its 5th season! And they are committed to at least two more!

This was the best new series on television. Shame on Fox for ignoring its older audience. We who appreciate more sophisticated storylines and out-of-courtroom characters living their drama.
