Netflix says:
Set in present day on a Colorado ranch, this multi-camera comedy series stars Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Sam Elliott and Debra Winger. The show follows Colt’s (Kutcher) return home after a brief and failed semi- pro football career to run the family ranching business with his older brother Jameson “Rooster” (Masterson) and father Beau (Elliott), whom he hasn’t seen in 15 years. Winger stars as Colt’s and Rooster’s mother, Maggie, who runs the local town bar. The Ranch is executive produced by Don Reo (Two and Half Men, My Wife and Kids) and Jim Patterson (Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly). Kutcher and Masterson serve as executive producers and co-executive producer respectively.
Kutcher’s other notable TV series is That ’70s Show, on which, he played Michael Kelso, opposite Masterson’s Steven Hyde. Masterson also played Milo on Men At Work, which TBS cancelled after 30 episodes, stretching over three seasons.
Winger and Elliott have worked primarily in film. Winger’s most notable TV credit is the role of Frances Greer, on the In Treatment TV series. In 2015, Elliott had a stint as Avery Markham on the FX series, Justified.
What do you think? How do you like the cast and premise of The Ranch? Do you plan to stream the first season when it drops to Netflix?
I like the show The Ranch it’s everything that that 70 show was pushing the edge for. Haha speaking of that since the guys who played fez kelso and hyde are on there i would love to see cameos from the other cast members of that 70s show donna eric and jackie would be awesome
I loved it. Hopefully there will be another season!
I loved it! It’s funny, entertaining, and Sam Elliot is in it! I really enjoyed watching the 1st part, can’t wait to see the other part
I can forgive the cheesy studio set but the laugh track really needs to go, For a light-hearted sitcom, I give a thumbs up (and since it is on Netflix, there are no commercials to sit through). The best things about have to be Kelly Goss and Sam Elliott. I really like Goss’ Heather role and hope that it gets a 2nd season but not sure if she would be returning since she is in the upcoming “Furst Born” sitcom…
Love it! Can’t wait for the next season.
A laugh track??? Really??? I thought they had made those illegal in the last century. And a studio setting for a Colorado ranch. Yuck
