What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance, Shazi Raja, and Ian Anthony Dale. This suspense thriller follows MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera). Because they don’t want to cause public panic, the two present Pentagon Press Secretary, Grace Barrows (Finnigan), with evidence that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards (Dale) is running the D.O.D.’s top-secret operation to deflect the asteroid. At the same time, Darius is working with Jillian (Byers), a rookie science fiction writer, on a different approach to save humanity.

Salvation premiered with low ratings and they’ve gotten even worse. Unless CBS has made enough deals to cover a good amount of the costs for this series, I would be shocked if this series came back for a second season.Subscribe for free updates on any cancellation and renewal news.

I got to like this show…love seeing Mark Moses appear! The characters, actors…grew on me as the episodes progressed. come on now, CBS !
Please bring back Season 2. We need closer or a movie to show what happened when the asteroid hit and then, season 2 could center around the survivors or a future with the survivors on Mars! Just a thought.
This show Salvation is the best show of the summer. We have not missed an episode. It is by far the most entertaining program in a long time. If it hasn’t gotten the viewer it’s CBS’s fault not the shows. They didn’t get the people interested, they didn’t hype it. We have two much stupid comedy and reality garbage on all the channels. I put this show right up there with Designated Survivor it’s of that quality and substance.

CBS has an odd habit of torpedoing their own best, most fun, captivating, smart shows (Network’s inner political struggles, no doubt…). “Designated Survivor” w K Sutherland is a good example of a very solid, fun, smart show, and shares many elements with “Salvation”. And I’ve got Respect for the creatives that put Designated Survivor (DS) together; Salvation is even better and offers more “Juice per Episode” than even DS does. I can hardly believe that they would even consider now having another season of Salvation.
After all of the absolutely mind numbing ..senseless.. brain dead shows we have on tv these days, my outlook on the American pop culture would certaily take another huge downward spiral in my opinion if the powers to be would canceled this great show.
I guess this is the reason why I hardly ever watch network tv any more, those who do might be afraid that they would actually learn somthing or laugh without a laugh track!!

Please, please bring back this incredible addictive thriller. How could anyone not get hooked on the suspense? More people need to know about it. My son who is a sci-fi addict had not heard about it until I told him. Need some sensational trailers!!

Love love love love this show do not cancel! Need to have season 2! How dare CBS run a fantastic summer series for one season, leave everyone hanging, and cancel? I guess maybe we should stop watching CBS? Not fair to your viewing audience. Perhaps more will become as interested as those that were if there’s a season 2. Forget big brother it’s boring boring boring!

I certainly hope it will be renewed. It is easy to follow yet has twists & turns you don’t see coming. Right now, it is my favorite show. I think the initial reviews did not do Salvation justice and is most to blame for any low ratings. The show is excellent. Please do not cancel!
