CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

Does anybody pay any attention to those of us who DVR programs??? I think not! Been watching since the beginning and every episode I watch, once it starts I can not stop watching. That’s why I DVR it, because when a commercial break comes around I can’t wait to find the remote to get back to the show. DON”T CANCEL SCORPION!!! I think that CBS cancelling Scorpion is a terrible decision. I have been watching this show since the pilot episode and it is fantastic. Yes I agree “some” episodes were not as great as others but overall this show is informative and funny. Big mistake and worst of all the network left us Scorpion fans hanging on at least each characters ending. We watched all of the seasons and have no ending. CBS is my favorite network but the cancellation of so many shows I loved will make me rethink my viewing options!
We loved this show! Been watching it since it began, and it’s honestly opened our eyes to the struggles happening in our family. It’s never been said outright, but it’s obvious that Walter is an extremely high-functioning autistic, being clueless to human interaction. And it’s rampant in our family. Watching this, we’d say, “hey, that’s you!” Or “I do that! Whoa!” And the solutions Paige would suggest were right on the money. It was like therapy while also being fun. The show Scorpion is a very good show! I believe the Characters were diversified and Interesting. I think that the plots were exciting but quite often, the solutions weren’t! They always went in as a team but the answer always came from the Character ‘Walter’ Who was in Charge. Another thing is that too many additional storylines outside of the Main Characters Skills and Abilities. too soon! Very poor decision CBS on Scorpion. Canceling the show and leaving us hanging as what is going to happen. Should at least come back to end it with a show that completes the series not leave you hanging!
Scorpion offered some of the most fun a TV show has had since the 90’s. This is a huge disappointment!
Scorpion is one of the few tv programs I’m able to watch with my grandkids. With all the violence, sex and vulgarity on most tv shows now I rarely find tv entertaining any longer.
Please bring it back for a 5th season in the 9 pm time slot. There is room since other shows were cancelled that were not as good. The show deserves a decent finale. You don’t know everyone who watches it for sure since many people aren’t vocal about it.
Please bring it back, i just loved this show! All the Trouble i had to go trough living in the Netherlands but it was so worth it! I need to know what happens with them.
Please bring Scorpion back if only to conclude it properly. Has been very enjoyable watching the 4 seasons, it deserves a better ending.
