CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

No Scorpion absolutely did not end correctly. CBS isn’t looking at the people who love the show they don’t care about that they just care about the money brought in to the network. Forget the shows that people like me love.
I will miss Scorpion! I loved the series! It just ended so sad.. Everyone wants a happy ending!

Do not cancel this show.! Its a wonderful one which can only understood by people with high iq and people with low iq dont get it as stated in the show itself. People with high iq are few in numbers. Therefore low rating of the show. If it continues we people with high iq will be more happy than anyone.!
I wanted another season because the show is great to me and because of it i have straight A’s in school and i enjoyed every second of every season so please make one more season CBS.
It’s just so infuriating that we invest our time into a great show and then for them just to cancel and leave it hanging. I feel they are not paying attention to the public viewing audience who without us they won’t have a station, what’s more upsetting is they just don’t listen to us they couldn’t care less about the viewing public. They go on about figures but people watch on all kinds of devices / times of the day /week / month, how do they take all them ratings into consideration. I think you have made a huge mistake cancelling Scorpion. I can’t believe you would cancel a well-scripted show and keep another lame reality show like Big Brother on the air? Who made that decision? You should be cancelled!

Please don’t cancel this show!! OmG..every good show is getting cancelled. I am greatful criminal minds is still safe but this SUCKS…We lost Deception and Scorpion…these TV channels are losing their minds. Programs are getting do bad anymore I watch more Korean tv than anything else.
Aaahhhh, just discovered that Scorpion was cancelled. Ruined our day. Hopefully another network will pick it up. We never worried if we couldn’t watch it in its time slot as we DVR’d it and binge watched. Sigh.
Why do shows with intelligent scripts always get axed after just a few seasons?
