TV show description:
This FBI and police procedural crime drama is set in New York City. It features a work “family” of Brooklyn detectives.
Following their leader, Lt. Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta), this team crosses the line, to protect their precinct and each other. Can these cops keep their streets safe, without arousing the Feds’ suspicions?
Detective Harlee Santos (Jennifer Lopez) is a single mom. When her new colleague, Michael Loman (Dayo Okeniyi), kills an unarmed man, she covers it up.
FBI Special Agent Robert Stahl (Warren Kole) arrests her. Using her daughter as a bargaining chip, Stahl gets Harlee to act as an informant.
Harlee does what she can to keep her child and protect her coworkers, while still avoiding arrest. As he gets to know Harlee, Stahl fixates on her.
Wozniak realizes there is an informant in their midst. He won’t rest until he finds out who it is.
Concerned he will figure her out, Harlee suggests polygraphing the entire crew. That does not end well.
Reviewing tapes for a case, Wozniak watches a recording of his first meeting with Harlee. It documents something they have kept buried.
Tess (Drea de Matteo) tries to cope with her cheating spouse, with help from Espada (Vince Laresca).
Harlee gives Stahl the evidence from Tess and Espada’s unofficial investigation of a crime, instead of delivering the goods that would incriminate Wozniak. When confronted by her lieutenant, will she be able to bluff her way out?
Series Finale:
Episode #36 — By Virtue Fall
Harlee faces a police commission as Wozniak and the crew scramble to help her from the outside.
First aired: August 19, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Shades of Blue TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
I was very saddened to see the show end. There is so much material for a great Season 4. I really admire Jennifer Lopez for showing how multi-dimensional she is–I would much rather see her acting on this show (and directing) than watch her on World of Dance. It seems there isn’t much this woman can’t do–including acting!
You shouldn’t cancel the show, Crazy how hard it is to have a hit show and then to let it go..
DON’T CANCEL – RENEW
Unfortunately it was the decision of Jennifer Lopez to cancel the show because she has so much on her plate. She has too many things going on at once and decided to let the show go. I do hope that someone decides to take over for her one day!!!! I would definitely still be interested and would watch it with the rest of the cast only. Who knows maybe someone else can be director???!!!!
Please do not cancel Shades of Blue! Well written, directed, preformed, and produced! This has been a good series and deserves renewing!
This is the best show on TV. I can’t believe you are cancelling it. Jen is Movie star material not TV quality
DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW! Although next week is the last episode I feel like the ending is going to be rushed. If they cared at all what the audience thinks they will not cancel it.
Are family loves this program. It is a great show. Please keep this program.
Please do not cancel Shades of Blue. It is a great show and well worth watching. There are not a lot of shows that I watch but this is one I do every week.
Why is it that you get a great show that you cancel it? Love watching this show. Westerns from years ago stayed on for years because viewers loved watching them. Come on, leave a good thing alone.
My husband and I really love Shades of Blue. We are hoping this will not be the last season.
PLEASE DON’T CANCELL THIS SHOW. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?????
that’s just the thing….THEY JUST DON’T THINK & THEY DON’T CARE WHAT WE THINK.This is the best show on this and every past seacon.Fantastic cast also……wow
I’m not a behig lover of cop shows, but I really got into this one. I like that it was realistic about the reality of police corruption and how easy it is to convince themselves that what they’re doing is for the “greater good” even as they become indistinguishable from the so called “bad guys.” Too bad they cancelled it.
Shades of Blue is a great show! It should not have been cancelled. I think it is a shame it was backed up against the Ninja competition shows and Chicago Justice and if out in a better spot it would do well. Please renew!!!!!
I really wish this show wasn’t going to end after this season. I enjoyed the first episode in season three, however I disliked that Nava was killed off. Him and Harlee made a great pair.
This show should never have been cancelled. It is a great show. It really should be renewed
please don’t cancel, if Jeanifer dosnt want to come back, offer her daughter to come back as a cop!
