CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
Please, a weekly series! I have been waiting for it to come back all summer! Very uplifting, few tv programs are.
Please keep the series, and have specials like the Christmas special. We look forward to it each week and enjoy it.
We love the weekly series. We would love to see them continue. It is easy to catch them every week. The movies are not so easy to schedule for recording if we cannot watch them when they air.
So disappointed in this decision! A family show that we looked forward to watching together and its gone. Not impressed with whoever made this horrible mistake.
Well, my family has decided if this is how hallmark treats its faithful customers and viewers then we want hallmark to know we will no longer be watching ANY series they initiate. This is a HORRIBLE decision and you have not only lost a viewer but also a customer.
I loved this show and I am bummed that its not returning. I can’t even watch the movies cause I don;t get the Hallmark movie channel. You need to also show it on the regular Hallmark channel. Please bring back the series, it was a show I looked forward to watching every week.
We’ve been waiting patiently for the start of the new season of Signed, Sealed & Delivered just to find out it’s no more. We are more than disappointed…one of the best, great shows on t.v., please, please bring it back!
Hallmark listen to your fan base! Why would you want to alienate and and even lose loyal viewers? We looked forward to this series every week. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Not good!!! Don’t get us wrong, the movies are great but the series was FANTASTIC. We always watched and even eventually found them online so we could watch again.
Please bring back the weekly series AND keep the movies. It has been some time since we didn’t have to worry about a rating. Please, please, please, bring back the series.
Thank you for the time we got to watch and we are praying for more!
Hallmark is making a HUGE mistake by not continuing Sign Sealed and Delivered as a series and will no doubt loose what little Sunday Prime Time Ratings it may have. The series is/was the driving impact behind the movie specials. It is rare when a network embarks upon the chemistry with it’s writers charters and subject matter as is the case in Signed Sealed and Delivered and When Goes the Heart. Yet Hallmarks seems unconcerned if they followup on either series in a timely manner or if they followup at all. It seems all Hallmark is concerned about is showing… Read more »
Please keep the weekly series, as well as a few specials though out the year. Look forward to watching Signed Sealed Delivered… Need more feel good series, and specials.
Thank you…
The movie was GREAT! So sad though the series is being discontinued. Why can’t we have both! Wouldn’t you know finally a wholesome show, would bite the dust. My new favorite holiday movie.
Sad because I do not have the new channel!
I am so disappointed about Signed Sealed Delivered not being on the Hallmark Channel. Please bring back the series. Our whole family loved it.
I would rather have the show on weekly! It was something I looked forward to and enjoyed! Why is it that when you have a good thing you have to change it?!?! Very disappointed :’,’, (
Please bring back the weekly series!! Keep some movie specisls too!! Love this show!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? MOVIES?? This is the best series EVER. Our entire family age 8-50 LOVES it. We have watched every episode and some twice. The writing is phenomenal. The acting is just outstanding-the variety in characters, the subtlety and nuances, the relationships, the sophisticated humor. I could go on and on. The plots are so intriguing==just wonderful. We need a continued SERIES!!! I was SO DISAPPOINTED to see they would just have movies. How will we even find out when the movies are on? We look forward to watching every week! PLEASE bring back the weekly series and… Read more »
